It's not good. Caniac combo without a drink is almost 2000 calories.

When I have a cheat day, it sure as hell isn't going to consist of chicken nuggets and crappy fries.

Mexican is my persistent temptation. I can eat two full baskets of chips both before and after my meal.

I hear you. Chips and salsa are my diet kryptonite. I've had a little success in waiting a bit before I start eating them and also putting them on a napkin so a don't lose track of how much I'm eating straight out of the basket. It's freaking hard though.

Food/Drink spinoff: what's the farthest from Baton Rouge you've ever had Cane's? We went to the one in Fort Collins, CO right when it opened. I wanted to open one in Missoula,MT. Would kill it.

You never fully understand how little control you have of eating until you have a basket of hot, fresh tortilla chips in front of your face at a legit Mexican joint

Sorry dude but not everyone is keto. CICO. French fries will not make you fat.

Sorry 38 gram of carbs will ruin your figure.

The bread is "very carby". WTF?

Sure. But the secret I've learned that is finally working for me is to never say you can't have certain foods. Eat in such a way that allows you to have those treats every once in a while. For me I have found there is a danger in both being too lax and being to restrictive.

Absolutely, I think we may have been commenting on two different points, mine was that of the calorie dense foods that Cane's provides and limited options. I agree with everything you've said.

There are no bad foods, just bad diets.

This.

I occasionally indulge by having a DQ Blizzard. I just have to avoid eating any other junk that day (and the day before and after).
