on craigslist I use search tempterest and just use terms like barbell, commercial gym equipment, and all the big manufactures names like rogue, hammer strength etc

I have spray foam in all the walls and ceiling and insulated doors. In new gym I will eventually buy Ac but I like it hot, I open all the doors now unless mosquito or termites are bad

If I can't sell my house, I'm adding a shed/workout room! May get a small AC for it

Got the 30" pedestal from harbor freight. It's a beast and I think it will do just fine for cooling down.

Pullup bar, gymastic rings, weighted backpack, sandbags. Minimalism FTW. I spent less than $200.00 and only that much because I got a super heavy duty sandbag. I can't do heavy squats or DL's but my joints don't need that stress. I pushed heavy iron for years and I like this better. I'm strong enough to do anything I need to do, and I don't ache after a workout like I used to.

Looking to start working out at home again instead of at the gym due to time constraints and kids. Does anyone have any recommendations for decent set of bumper plates and a bar? I used to have a Rouge bar and HiTemp plates but not looking to spend that much this time if I don't have too. Also looking for a squat rack with a pull-up bar, but can probably find one used for cheap.

For bumpers, try Craigslist or the other crossfit equipment sites. For bar cap ob-86.

For power cage, just keep looking on craigslist

There are no used bumper plates in my area. They seem hard to find used. Any experience with the cap bumper plates?

I haven't and wouldn't. But why are you hung up on having bumper plates? Why not cast iron and build yourself a platform?

Just preference. If I miss a snatch, I don't want to drop iron weights in my garage.

Oh ok so you Olympic lift. Yea you will need to find bumpers or stop doing Olympic lifts for a while. I would suggest just biting the bullet and buying new bumpers that will last, but not hi temps, some type of training plates.

If you want to get bumpers, hit up some big, local Crossfit comps and buy them used there. Deep South Shootout in Gonzalez sometime in October this year is your best bet.

I've picked up 345lbs over the last 2 years and added a set of steel CAP 45s to boost it to 435lbs or so at Academy for $75ish.

Rep Fitness Rack with pull-up bars
Rep Fitness Bench (Flat to Incline)
45 and 35lb Wright Equipment Barbells
2 45lb bumpers
2 45lb steel plates
4 25lb bumpers
2 15lb bumpers
4 10lb bumpers
4 5lb plates
4 2.5lb plates
Assault Bike
Plyo Box
Wall Ball
Outside Pull-up Bar
Handful of 30, 35 and 50lb KBs
Handful of DBs
Two 4x8 Floor Mats from Stein

Rower is next. Would have been sooner rather than later if my Apple options didn't tank last week.

How convenient having the dumbbells next to the curl rack.
