Help me out

So I’ve been fat almost my entire life. I’ve tried to lose weight multiple times but end up giving up.
I was 6-1 215. Then I decided to really really work at it. I made the first real progress at weight loss in my life. I worked out every day, cut my calories a ton, and sugars completely. The first two weeks I lost about half a pound a day, weighing 207. I just finished my third week, and I got off the scale at 194.
I’m wondering if part of my weight loss is malnutrition. I am making sure to eat plenty of protein and drinking a decent amount of water.
Although I definitely look better than I did at 215, I don’t think I look 21 pounds better.
I know it’s not normal to lose 12 pounds in a week, can someone help me?

You lost water and glycogen and some fat.
And no you're not malnourashed. Look down. There's your food.

So long story short, after months of poor diet and lack of sleep, I was up to 208 lbs on July 1. Got down to 193 by July 11. Now, most of that fluctuation came from water weight and I was sick for like a week so I couldn’t consume many calories. So as to say I don’t think you lost an unreasonable amount of weight, but it probably wasn’t that much fat overall, which is what I assume you’re aiming to lose.
The key distinction I’ve recognized is that weight loss =/= better body composition. Feeling good about what you see in the mirror is a lot more of a relief and motivation than the number you see on the scale. And losing weight is a lot easier than losing fat. Once you’re down to a healthier weight, you can build muscle and lean down which will contribute more to a better body image you’re looking for.
As far as nutrition goes, have you considered a low carb regimen that you can manipulate throughout the week? Personally, I go 3 straight days of low carb, then reload carbs for 1 day, then back to 3 days of low carb. Intermittent fasting helps me keep my calories within a moderate range, and most of the time I’m eating one meal a day (OMAD) that’s low carb then a light snack before bed with a little bit of carbs.

I need to see your diet log and workout log
My advice: use a pro diet plan and get on gymnastics rings

I’m really simple. I eat a lean protein and 2 servings of fruits or vegetables every meal. I usually have one real carb a day. For example last night for dinner. Open faced chicken sandwich with lettuce and cherry tomatoes.
As for workouts I’m simple as well. Intervals on treadmill. Then decline pushups, crunches, reverse crunches, bench press, bend-over rows, dumbbell squats. Sets of 3

For food, download the Mike’s Macros app. This thing has changed my life and I’m down lots of weight and have put on a considerable amount of muscle in just over a month.
The biggest surprise it told me, that I need tons of carbs on training days.
You want your body to eat through fat first. Without enough carbs to burn through, it takes your body less energy to eat through muscle first. And it does just that, leaving your fat.

No just no, stop
He needs to be in a weekly caloric deficit and to eat plenty of protein. That is it.
The when last paragraph you wrote made everyone that read it more ignorant.
OP I highly suggest the Avatar nutrition app. It does cost though. If you don't want to pay, use MyFitnessPal but you will have to adjust the macros manually

Well that is the advice I was given and it’s worked tremendously as I look completely different.
But duly noted.

Just because you went from fat to less fat doesn't mean it was good advice. Anything whole food is generally better than bon bons and coke.
No offense

If he exerts himself, his body will eat through the muscles to recuperate. Sure he’ll lose weight, and then when he stops the diet, the weight will come back twice as fast because his metabolism will be at zero.
But you do you.
What I posted has transformed my entire body

Yeah in about 40 pounds.

I'm talking about on your body not the macro nutrient

So going from fat to less fat is not the goal?
That would leave the options as gaining fat or keeping it the same.
But ok. Whatever works for you I guess. My goal is to get rid of fat.

Of course, but with what you oriliginally posted you are going to hit a wall rather quickly

No it doesn't.

Then I would reevaluate the advice you gave earlier in this thread because it's just factually inaccurate

Reevaluate something that has proven to work? Maybe chalk it up to different bodies but what I posted has been proven... for me.
I’m down from 26% body fat to 19%.
Down 21 pounds of fat (gained about 3 lbs. of muscle)
All in a short time.

Like I said doing any kind of diet will make you go from fat to less fat.

How did you get these numbers?

Calipers, scales, tracking, apps you name it, I’ve tried it all before.
But you seem to know a lot so I’ll take your posts into account going forward.

These don't work FYI
I'll take your word on the calipers though they aren't anywhere near exact

Scales don’t work weighing you?
I think you’re just being argumentative.
Best of luck
