So, i need to drop 25lbs by October..... I’ve used IF in the past with success so i have that part covered. But, i do need an easy to follow workout plan i can use for the next ten months. Do y’all have a plan you prefer that’s easily accessible via internet or something you professionals have made yourselves? Before anyone asks i’m 6ft3 / 248 / 29% BF last time i checked. Thanks!

I haven’t touched a weight in a year....

What kind of workouts / activity do you enjoy? Lifting weights, running, biking, body weight. It’s a lot easier to stick to a plan if you already enjoy the workout. Just increasing your activity level no matter the activity will help.
The first thing to address would be diet. Cut out the simple stuff like candy, deserts, chips.. stuff like that. Don’t drink your calories. Drink water. Just this will help shed some weight.

I prefer lifting over the others.

Also this is totally possible. I have a buddy who was at 6’ 290lbs about a year ago. He got sick of it and started with a couch to 5k program. He’s currently at 220-230 lbs. He’s been coming over to my home gym for the last three weeks and started lifting weights. He’s been doing 5 days a week for the last 3 weeks. He’s been getting after it! He really pushes himself and is consistent.

What’s happening in October? You gotta squeeze into a tight Halloween costume?

25 pounds in that time span can be done with just diet alone.
What do you currently eat and drink that’s unhealthy?

I drink mainly water and unsweetened tea.... i’m not a sugar drink kind of fella. I think my main problem is over eating carbs and sugar.

Well there you go. Cut out the bad carbs and sugar.
Download a food tracking app. I have success with Mike’s Macros. Down 41 pounds overall.
Once you get the diet down, then get you a lifting/cardio routine. I had to get the diet down first. I was undoing all the hard work in the gym by continuing to eat like a teenager.

You got it!
This is just what worked for me. I’ve learned from here: find what works for YOU.
To lose weight it’s simple. Burn more calories than you take in.

As far as a general weightlifting program. I would recommend some variation of 531. Look it up. Tons of information out there on 531. Easy follow and gets good results.
LSU777 will probably come at some point and recommend GreySkulls LP. It's supposed to be really good.
Ultimately, do a little research and pick one that looks good to you. Don't get stuck trying to pick the perfect program. Do the work, lift heavy weights, and you will see results.

Shred app on iPhone.
Sounds corny but it will kick your arse. I do the 20 min variation as a warmup before 5/3/1.
But there are hour long variations that will have you in a pool of sweat.
If you do that and cut out crap carbs (except for say, the weekend ... you know enjoy life a little) then you will not only lose 25 but look great too.

When I started getting serious about dropping weight I found it easiest to break it down by the numbers.
3500 calories in 1lb of fat, meaning to lose 1lb/week you're looking at 500 calories less than you currently eat daily. At a low deficit like that, you'll never notice any drop in energy.
That's oversimplified, I know, but it makes it seem more attainable.
Weight training and HIIT helps keep your muscle mass as well as burning extra calories, I always prefer steady state cardio though.
Overall, as long as the changes you make are sustainable, losing that weight will take you no time at all, and you'll probably drop more than your original goal if you start now/at the beginning of the new year. Weight lost= more energy= more motivation to get healthier.
Coming from a former 6'2 330 and current 6'2 220, best of luck and find some enjoyment out of it!
