Did you notice any difference in energy and quality of sleep?

I’ve cut no calorie sodas as of last Monday. Have lost 4 lbs already and I sleep much better. I was drinking about 2-3 a day. It’s still early but I like the results so far.

I had a double espresso shot and a Chike protein shake (caffeinated) already this AM.

my caffeine tolerance is too high for me right now. I want to cut out all pre workout. A cup of Black coffee or green tea in the AM is probably what I will do to slowly ween off

I just bought a stimulant free PWO.
I’ll try it for a CF WOD today and see if it wrecks me.

Are there any "stimulants" in there?

Yes.
I caught a bad parasite one time and the range of health effects left me with a ton of anxiety.
So, as I built my health back, I gradually increased the decaf in my coffee until I was 100% decaf, then no coffee.
Did this for about 6 months and felt great. Tons of energy, calm resolve.
Eventually, work got intense and we were preparing for a huge customer meeting. The whole team went out for coffee that morning and I said, "Why the hell not?"
I had my first real coffee in months and it was a legit PED. I was like Superman; it was fantastic.
Since then, I've learned to use caffeine in a different way, never leaning on it. Life gets crazy? Then I up the caffeine and thrive. Life chills out? I go mostly caffeine free.

Yes.
When I quit smoking 15+ years ago, I also quit drinking caffeine. For those of you that have not smoked, there's a fixation between cigarettes and coffee, to a lesser extent coke and tea. So, in order to help quit smoking, I also quit all caffeine.
After about 6 months, I decided that I was comfortable enough being quit that I could handle a cup of coffee. I woke up, made my cup, and sat down and got to about sip number 4. I thought my freaking head was gonna explode. I felt terrible: head pounding, heart racing, nauseous, the whole deal.
I can almost INSTANTLY tell if I've been handed caffeinated coffee by mistake. If I drink coffee, it has to be decaf or it gives me a terrible headache. Tea to a lesser degree (plain sweet tea). I have to limit my intake of that though. My Irish coworker gave me a bag of Irish Breakfast Tea one day to try. Damn near killed me! It must have a double espresso level of caffeine in it.
The good news? I lost a good bit of weight instead of gaining a ton like the normal ex-smoker. My sleep is excellent. Never have any issues getting enough sleep or going to sleep when I want to. Energy? Not as much of a difference I'd say, but certainly better. Might be all the exercise I do now.

Have y'all tried any nootropics to replace caffeine? I've been trying a few different things regarding nootropics and I've found good results.

What nootropics have you used with success? I've been interested in trying them, but don't know what's what.

I have cdp choline 300 mg and rhodiola rosea 500mg that I usually take after my morning coffee. Those help with getting me focused. I also bought addrinall from glaxon which is a nootropic blend with a little bit of caffeine. LINK .
Nutricost is a good company to buy individual things like the rhodiola, they have a good rep and they sell on Amazon for convenience.
If you want something to sip on all day, Alpha Eaa from nutrabio is pretty good. It includes nootropics to go along with the hydration and eaa formulas. LINK

A few years ago, I did a two week cleanse type thing where it was just green smoothies and lots of water, nothing extra - I did drink detox tea in the morning
I found I did sleep better but I like coffee too much to give it up
Plus I didn’t lose any weight with the detox so I didn’t see the point

I cut mine way down several years ago. I would have a cup at the house, then a tumbler in the truck with me while doing carpool and going to work. Around 10 I would have another cup at work. Early afternoon I would get a diet coke or diet Dr Pepper. When I got home I wouldn't have any because it keeps me awake if I have it in the evenings. So I tried giving up the mid-morning coffee first, and later quit having the early afternoon soda. Eventually I just had the cup in the morning and none on the way to work.
I grew used to it, but eventually got back to just coffee and the occasional soda. I really noticed it running. I would try to skip any soft drinks before I ran several days a week, and I used water instead. Felt great. I still have more than I should, but I'm getting older now and need a little boost during the day. Nothing excessive, but I've never cut it out completely. I'll opt for a diet Ginger Ale now to get my carbonation fix in.

I had a bad caffeine withdrawal symptom during surgery recovery. I recommend weaning off instead of cold turkey.

I’ll have black coffee in the morning. I’ll have a Coke zero once or twice a month. Besides that, I try not to consume too much caffeine. It loses its potency after some time.

fixation between cigarettes and coffee,
This reminds me. I LOVE a nice Connecticut blend cigar and coffee.
