You will definitely miss them being cuddly when they turn into a little punk pre teen like I’m dealing with now.

Any advice fellow H&F dads?

Definitely new thread worthy, congrats! When you’re up late, exhausted, wishing to be anywhere else just remember, that will be what you miss most. I promise.

Thanks fellas!!

I am having a whirlwind of emotions.

Being a doctor myself, but having not much knowledge of this obgyn stuff, I just hope her little lungs are healthy enough 3 weeks earlier than scheduled. That is all I can think about.

Get ready to be sleep deprived for a few weeks…. But it’s all worth it. It goes by fast

I didn't want to start a new thread for this. But I just got back from my wife's OB appointment and I found out that her blood pressure was slightly higher than the Obgyn was comfortable with. So they are inducing her tomorrow night!

I thought I had 3 more weeks to go, but plans have now changed.

Any advice fellow H&F dads?

try and get as much sleep as possible

the weights will be here when you get back

You can be a diaper changing pro. It’s pretty easy until the massive blowouts. Nothing like holding your little girl though. Enjoy it.

I'm ready for those blowouts. I'm sure she will take after me in that department

Congrats, Jose!

How are y’all doing these snatch deadlifts? Can’t say I’ve ever done them before. Did you do something with more of a higher butt, back flat and more parallel to the ground as if you were about to pull into an actual snatch, or did you do a real low butt, upright back, similar to like a hex bar? The former was crazy hammy / glute centric while latter felt more quad heavy.

I tried both and thought the former felt better but curious if there’s one we’re supposed to be targeting.

Strong back Tuesday done.

Snatch deadlifts were tough since I hadn’t done those in a long while.

I went up 5% on my deadlifts today bc I was tired of changing weights

Chest supported rows were tough too.

Last day in the gym for a few days until we have our newest H&F member!

I’m doing them pretty much the same just with my grip out to the little smooth marks and feet a tad wider. Definitely makes me get lower and I feel it more in my back.

wide arse grip, everything else similar so it actually ends up being more glute and hamstring focused

W3D2 down

Definitely a heavier day than yesterday. I also pushed my weights more, especially with the rows. Did my first set where I ended last time and it just felt too light. I also bumped up my deadlift weights to 77% and 80% for the last 2 sets.

W2D2. I liked the deadlifts. Not the biggest fan of 2 arm rows but the back is feeling good. I've got a little twinge going on in one knee so I'll have to keep an eye on that.

I’m glad I decided to lay sod on deadlift day. I feel like I’ll be skipping today
