W2 D2 done. We have baseball tonight so a quick turnaround from yesterday’s workout. Deads went fine until the last set of 5, I was toast. Everything else went well

Yea I did a double take on the %. I was like wait a minute, that doesn't seem like enough of a decrease

i have a pretty low TM so i actually added weight on the last set of 2, then did another set at that weight since i was switching back and fourth between conventional and sumo so that last set kind of caught me off guard, wasnt extremely difficult but way more than the 2 rep sets

oh and must be nice to only have baseball 2-3 nights per week. with all 3 of my boys playing, i literally have some type of practice or game every single night of the week and have for last 3-4 weeks. crazy how busy we get with it.

PS1 W1D1 completed. Coming off Benchamin Franklin last week, Big Bench Monday was rather relaxing

W2D2 done. Definitely can tell a drop in barbell strength from doing DB last few months. But on the flip side my DB movements have been great

W2D2 down!

Deads were definitely heavy, but I didn't feel any struggle. That superset of rows/curls turned my forearms into a damn rock. That last set of 20/20, wow! Pump was so hard, had issues closing my fingers for a few minutes.

Not going to lie, I'm glad only one of my three play ball. The oldest just wants to focus on lifting, and the middle boy has always hated baseball, so I'm left with just the little one playing.

my oldest only plays littel league. he loves baseball games, but he isnt interested in the work that baseball takes in the form of training.

he would rather focus on football and throwing in track and lifting.

younger 2 love it. like obsessed and will more than likely play for life. they just have that bug and no matter how much they practice, cant get enough of it.

W2D2 done, solid workout

I gotta figure out how to handle these 20 rep sets. I never do high rep sets, and I just can’t seem to get a feel for them. I either get to what feels like a good solid working weight and hit 15-20, or I’ll drop down a bit and be able to do like 30 and feels more cardio than strength

I can’t seem to get balance right and will continue to error on a slightly heavier weight that feels like a good working set and finish around 16

I over estimated the curls this morning. I felt like a big shot and loaded 95 for the sets of 10 and my arms were dead dropped down for the set of 20 and then that pump was insane

I did the exact same for the 10s. I ended up with the bar for the set of 20. My biceps are such a joke. I'm so weak.

wait....is that not the normal stategy? i always try to push it so hard that when that big rep set comes along, pretty much just the bar is all i can handle

I wish PPSA had a little more guidance on what he is thinking for fill in the blanks. I’m personally trying to add weight from last time and go as heavy as I can every blank, and then sometimes have to fail and drop weight to hit last few reps. This often means the fill in blank accessory work is higher effort than the main lifts tho, which is kinda weird.

Well I looked like I was doing back bends for 8,9,10 and then for 5-10

Then the set of 20 was almost too easy. So yea maybe that should be a good strategy going forward.

Yea I agree. But that’s where our documentation needs to improve. I try and fill in the blanks when I get home since I’m just doing it on my own.

But I like when he writes in “heavy” next to things. Now I know ok this is supposed to be hard.

I look at the rest times too: dude gives me 2.5-3min to recover from curls or skulls then I’m trying to destroy myself

Lol, glad to know we were all eyeing the exact same 95# for the sets of 10
