Total Cholesterol: 200
Trig: 75
HDL: 34
LDL: 151
My cholesterol in previous workups was 140-155, so this is a big jump. My HDL has always been low, even staying active.
Kidney function is a concern. My creatinine level is 1.45. I’m not extremely muscular which could account for a higher level, but my BMI is 28.5ish with around 13% BF.
My potassium level is slightly elevated and my calcium level is at the top of the range, but I was taking a supplement that has a proprietary blend that includes both, so I’m stopping it for the next few months before another workup is performed.
BP on the visit was 120/74
I’m pissing like a fire hydrant a shitload per day, too, which includes 3x per night.
Should I have any concerns at 47?
I’ll start to add a 1-2 glasses of red wine per night to see if my HDL levels improve over the next 8 weeks.

Trig/HDL
75/34+2.2 under 2 is golden range 2.2 not bad.
Typically, HDL needs to be above 40 and LDL below 130 (I think)
So, your numbers aren't really that bad.
It seems you answered your own question. Poor kidney function could be from a ton of things.
What does your diet and exercise plan look like?

I’m in the gym 4-5 days per week. Diet could use improvement,
Don’t know if the supplement I was taking played a role in the higher creatinine levels, but I’ll find out. I’ll look for ways to boost HDL levels.

31 HDL
73 Triglycerides

It probably doesn’t even need much. Your numbers aren’t that bad at all. Just make small adjustments where you can based on your goals.

An HDL of 34 is mildly concerning, LDL and total really isn’t meaningful without a lipid study breaking down particle size. At nearly 50 it wouldn’t be unreasonable to be on a statin with those numbers but as a non smoker without diabetes I wouldn’t raise a fuss.
A persistently elevated creatinine of 1.45 in a normal sized 47 year old white male is pretty alarming. That’s legit chronic kidney disease and it’s usually from diabetes or hypertension at that age which it didn’t sound like you have. I’d get some urine studies (UA, UPCR, renal ultrasound) and refer you to a nephrologist. Your urinary symptoms are somewhat concerning for a chronic prostatic obstruction too as it’s not normal for a man in his 40s to be urinating 3-5 times in 6-8 hours of sleep.
If the creatinine elevation is new and a first time elevation, it could be due to supplements or medications that need to be reviewed. If it’s new I’d just recheck it several after stopping anything concerning supplements/meds. A lot of the online crap people buy (and sometimes even certain things commonly found at places like GNC) can shred your kidneys

I doubt if it’s an obstruction. I’m pissing a full bladder’s worth 2-3x.

Your creatinine level and urinating 2-3 times at night is what would worry me. I would definitely see someone to get more blood work drawn.

I’m going back in 7 weeks for more work ups.
I think the additional workout supps I was taking were taxing my kidneys. I’m dropping everything but the basics over the next few weeks.

Updated blood work from a few weeks ago.
I dropped some workout supplements and my creatinine level dropped from 1.45 to 1.28, which is just below the upper limit for men.
They said everything else was normal. I’ll update my cholesterol numbers when I receive the full workup.

Are you working out before the test?
I had always worked out the night before and my creatinine was slightly above normal. For my last test, doc had me not work out for 48 hours prior and hydrate a lot.
Dropped back into the mid normal range. He explained the muscular repair process post-workout will have a raised creatinine effect. Poor hydration will trigger the same.

Can't recall on either, but I'm normally a mid-day lifter.
I upped my hydration as well leading up to it, but drinking the daily required ounces is tough sitting at a desk most days.

Other numbers..
Cholesterol: 145 (back down to my historical levels from the 200 outlier 8 weeks ago)
Trig: 62
HDL: 33 (still low but the ratio between LDL/HDL is good)
LDL: 100
Trig/HDL: 1.88
The potassium and calcium levels dropped into the range after stopping extreme endurance
