Days when you just feel like shite; heads all cloudy, coughing, body just aches. How many push thru those times with the attitude of "well, at least I'm getting some work in."

Yeah. I haven’t been able breathe through my nose in the last 5 days. I’m still pushing through. No days off. If it’s all in your head, you’re good. If the sickness is in your stomach, stay home.

ETA: The body aches are signs of the flu. You may want to see a doctor.

Depends on what I have. Minor cold, etc., I'll just do a deload week where I still do work, but dial back the frequency, intensity or volume.

Serious stuff like the flu, etc., I'll just take a few days to try to sleep it off.

it depends but usually a rest of active recovery

but if I'm not all the way sick but just feel it coming.

I'll work out which gives my immune system a kick in the arse.

Was feeling like shite due to a cold on New year's day but decided to push through a workout anyway. Felt way worse after. Next time I'm just resting until I feel better.

My ENT frowns on working out when I have a sinus infection. (Have a bad one now.) He says it depletes your immune system and makes it harder to get over an infection.

Yes, and if it's just a headcold you should be good to go but if it's moved into your lungs and chest stay out of the gym.

Neck up yes. Neck down no. Fever no.

That’s my rule.

If I am not feeling 100%, I am a no-go. Maybe it is my fear of injury, but if I miss a week....it isn't killing me in the long run - aka my life.

Depends. If just a cold I’ll walk a few miles and maybe air squats and push-ups.
