Destination or Vacation Races?

I know we've discussed this before, but is there a good half marathon out there that I could turn into a vacation? I see where Salt Lake City has a half marathon. Jackson Hole has one as well.
Any cool destinations to go run or venues? Perhaps a race that was just really fun?

Vacation Races does half marathons in national parks. Have been wanting to do one.

Yeah. Looking at that now. Love to do the Jackson Hole one. Just wondering if there were any other well organized races in fun venues. I see where Charlestown has a half marathon in early Jan.

There is one in Deadwood SD The half is all downhill.

San Diego was great for me - good weather, sea level (duh), course went through downtown and Balboa Park, finished inside of Petco Park. It's a ton of people but wasn't an issue at all.

Piggybacking some — what are some of the top races y’all have done in the southeast? I’ve only here been to the St. Jude Memphis (which is a great experience)

The Mercedes Marathon here in Bham is the only big race I've done. The crowds are amazing.

St Jude is awesome. Looked at racing it again this year but I just have no interest in visiting Memphis.
