Don't forget to change the cabin air filter too - easily overlooked but it holds on to smoke smell just as bad as fabric.
I've lived in both and what you have in LA but not AZ is shade, rain, and breeze. AZ heat may be dry, but the sun is relentless, it chases you down everywhere.

I can take the humidity when it's paired with tall trees and green plants.

Get an Rx for terbinafine. Soaks, Vicks, topicals......don't do shite. Get the Rx, watch 'em grow out, you're good.
Very similar mentality to you - I've done it all and nothing makes me feel better than a daily calisthenics program.

I start with a 1.5 mile run and start a routine of...
12 ring pullups
12 bodyweight squats
12 ring dips
12 bodyweight squats
12 ring rows
12 bodyweight squats
12 ring pushups
12 bodyweight squats

Then I reverse this back up, but max out the ring reps. Throw in some candlesticks or hanging leg raises at the end and I'm done with it all in 35 mins or so.

I've found with this I just don't accumulate the fatigue I would from any previous programs - ranging from marathon training to barbell regimes - but the aesthetic results are better.

K Boges and The Bioneer are awesome, it's amazing what simple and consstent can do.

re: RIP Mojo Nixon

A family member got a call to fill in as a drummer for Mojo the first night we were in San Diego for a visit. I was just off the plane with a one year old and a pregnant wife so I bailed on the concert.

I got a call that night from Mojo and he called me a "pussy arse bitch" for not coming. Lifetime highlight.

Once or twice a week I’ll take 3mg at night. I feel I don’t sleep well when I take it. Maybe I should take it in the morning? Anyone with similar issues?

Same here - I take it in the morning and my sleep still suffered. Cycling off for a week every so often has solved this for me.
My man Nick has a go to if you wanna DIY it...

I'm sure some of you have his books but if you aren't familiar with him, he is just so good.
Ya'll gotta dig deeper. The cells inside all these brands are virtually identical. You can buy empty cases and swap cells from brand A to brand B.

SixtyFiveFord can show you how - LINK
I do this exact same thing. I've got no proof it really helps but it makes me feel like I'm doing something
A likely culprit could also be a clogged gas cap vent. You'll run fine for a bit but then you'll get a hydrolock/vacuum scenario that goes away as the engine cools.

Pull off your gas cap and you'll see holes on the bottom edge. These can get clogged if you overfill the fuel and then have it slosh up.

Blow them and pick them out - quick and easy to try. Good luck!

So Kurig coffee is unfiltered? I never even thought about it.

The standard, sealed K-cups have a paper filter inside. The refillable ones use a metal screen, but paper filters for those are available.

I haven't found anyone with a plan that I can trust

Keep looking then.

If you are looking for true financial planning, here's the quickest way to vet a firm/FA.

Part One

I'm biased as I'm a CFP, but by searching for a CFP on https://www.letsmakeaplan.org you narrow the field quickly. I know many non-CFP FAs who are good, but there's an ever deepening divide in product and service between CFPs and non CFPs.

Part Two

Go to their website and find their "Client Login" page. There should be a link that takes you to an eMoney (emaplan.com), MoneyGuidePro (moneyguidepro.com), or RightCapital (rightcapital.com) site. This is the software 99% of professional, legit FAs and planners use. Be prepared to flat or hourly fee for a plan. If the login page takes you to an insurance company - this ain't your guy.

Good luck.

My list - contemporary in the fact that almost all published 1950+ with some of these authors still going strong...

Billy Collins
Ted Kooser
Jim Harrison
Philip Larkin
Frank O'Hara
John Ashbery
Kenneth Koch
Ted Berrigan
Ron Padgett
WS Merwin
Donald Hall
Robert Bly
Tony Hoagland
Paul Muldoon
Robert Pinsky
Seamus Heaney
Charles Simic
Mark Strand
Donald Revell
George Bilgere
James Tate
Bill Knott
Joyce Sutphen
Linda Pastan
AR Ammons
Howard Nemerov
John Hollander

My go to for getting anyone into poetry are the top three on this list - Collins, Kooser, and Harrison. Watch something by them on YouTube to get a feel for cadence and then dive in.
It's an hour but really recommend Deviant's talk about flying with firearms - I'd imagine everyone would learn something here...

Another tip - dump the ice out of your ice maker each night before bed, it keeps the fridge line pulling water all night to make new ice.

Found this out back in 2020 when this was the only line I had freeze up.

EDIT - D'oh! Drop4Loss nailed this on page 1. Chalk me up for 0% reading comprehension.

More rumor/legend than anything else - but I'm a believer that it really is Paul, Ringo, and George backing up Donovan on Atlantis
San Diego was great for me - good weather, sea level (duh), course went through downtown and Balboa Park, finished inside of Petco Park. It's a ton of people but wasn't an issue at all.
