Happens to me a good bit. It's why I have to stop and have such bad times in 5 rounders. Today is going to be one of those.

If you wanna feel really inadequate, here's Dimitry Klokov doing a tabata -

-Muscle Snatch- 205 lbs / 93 kg
-Deadlift (snatch grip)- 405 lbs / 184 kg
-High Pull (snatch grip)- 165 lbs / 75 kg
-Klokov Press- 205 lbs / 93 kg
-GHD Back Extension- w/ 95lbs / 45 kg
-Deficit Strict Handstand Push-ups- bodyweight
-Thrusters- 315 lbs / 143 kg
-Jumping Back Squat- 115 lbs / 52 kg

Hit some snatch work before the class WOD today..

Snatch Presses (Sotts): 65x5, 75x5, 85x5, 95x5
Snatch Balance: 95x3, 105x3, 115x3, 125x3

I’ll finish up the Invictus training today this afternoon.

Kept it light to work on being faster on the snatch balances.

Todays WOD hurt.

12min AMRAP
30 OH Squat (95/65)
30 Bar facing burpees
30 toes to bar

I did 65lb OH squats, and hanging knee raises instead of ttb. 1 round + 25.

My lungs still hurt and it's been an hour

Just gonna hijack this thread to ask a quick question. Any of you guys switch to a traditional gym after CrossFit, or between CrossFit memberships? If so, what kind of program/routine did you follow? Full-body weight training one day, followed by a day of HIIT? Etc?

We have deadlift in both A and B tomorrow. I just don't agree with that. I want to do a class-just not that class.

I just lift like a body builder when I go there.

Yesterday we had an odd one, it was

A: 6 x 10 deadlift

B: EMOM: 30sec max deadlift at 135
then
30 sec max cal row

Been doing this for 5 years and just have never seen that many deadlifts before, does anyone else have programming that resembles this?

Went to Oly,
Jerk 5-3-2-1.. 95,135,155,165
Stayed for regular class.

17min AMRAP
-6 ring muscle up (or choose your weakest link.. I did pushups)
-10 DB clean and jerks (50/35) I did 35s.
-15 wall ball (20/14). I did 10lb

6+16

My shoulders were burnt out after OHS Tuesday and then heavy jerks, so I took the wall balls a bit lighter.


Time to MF'n EAT. Super hungry.

5-5-5 Push Press
3-3-3-3-3 Push Jerk (barbell cycling)

WOD

30 BS at 55% of your recent heavy single
If you rack it prior to 30, you take a minute rest.
5 minute cap

10 min AMRAP
20' Handstand Walk (unbroken to Rx)
5 burpees

50 battle rope alternating arm

Run 50 yd with wall ball

Not much since earlier in the week.

Filming for Greyhound at the USS Kidd these last few days. I did, however, get to pick up and load a 55lb 5” shell on a deck gun over and over these last few days.

I’m trying to get as much screen time as Tom Hanks.

Have you started Invictus 3 day programming? Was curious what you though so far, and what your expectations are. I'm thinking of giving something like that a go.

Tweaked something in my left shoulder, really tender on my front delt close to my chest. Hopefully doesn't interfere with cleans.

hang power cleans for that much? I'm super impressed. I did 135 on full squat cleans I'm getting the hang of dropping to the bottom to catch, but the high pull seems to be setting off my elbow pain. Going to start seeing a PT
