Yard work
It's amazing how many leaves two live oaks can drop. Worked on them all afternoon. Didn't finish.

So, we have toes to bar today. I am at a transitional point where I can do some, but my kip breaks down and I have to start over. In an AMRAP, it's no big deal-I just get fewer rounds than most because of the slowness. But today is three rounds for time. It will take me forever to get those completed. So, the question is, how does one decide to stop knocking out knee ups and make the switch to CTB in a WOD?

Started 18.5 and stopped in the middle of 12 CTBs. Pace was slower than last week.

Jumped in the class and it was a squat workout with handstand holds between sets.

5x3 at the same weight and I worked up to 275 and stayed there for all 3. Probably should have gone up to 305-315 but I wasn’t feeling it due to lack of breakfast..

On the handstand holds, I kicked up to my loaded barbell and let my feet dangle over the bar; trying to locate my balance point for handstand walks. Did this over and over for about 15 minutes.

ETA: Took a relay throw to the face in softball. Luckily it hit where it did and I don’t have a glass jaw.

I got 225 for all 3 sets. Got some really good depth. Felt really good to get heavy after all of the open WODs.

Well I DL #225 for the first time since my back injury a few months back. Felt pretty good. Did 5x5 sets.

Guess it's time to stop skipping the heavy DL days.

Today’s WOD...

10 min AMRAP
10 HSPUs
5 Hang Cleans 135/95

5+5 Rx

Worked on kipping form and I was much slower than normal on HSPUs.

Now, off to finish fence work and change the brake pads in my Tahoe.

We did Christine today, which was fine considering I wanted some deadlifts in my life.

3 rounds for time
500m row
12 deadlifts at your bodyweight (200# for me)
21 box jumps

10 min 21 seconds for me. Went a little too hard on round 1 of the rows.
Threw in 5x5 push press (increase weight each set up to 85%) afterwards with 5x10 sandbag squat cleans.
Did some double under practice
5 min cool down on assault bike

I did wall walk ups. Just 3 months ago I couldn't do them. Today I did 3 each round. I still can't get my arms in to get a full hand stand but I'll take it. That progression really felt great

Did cleans at 85lb.. probably should've done 95.

We have a 1 rep front squat max today. How does one warm up for that? How many sets of what?
