No real WOD today

Clean and jerk for technique and load

3-3-3-3-3-3

Did 205# on the last set

After got done with that I attempted a PR on clean and got it at 225# with a jerk to follow. Was pretty pumped because I had tried 225# multiple times and failed in the past and wasn’t going to go for the jerk but just decided to try it and hit it no problem.

Way more difficult than I thought it was going to be.....hubby says it’s because I did legs and cardio yesterday, but who knows.

EMOM 20 minutes

4 DB clean
4 DB squat
4 DB push press

(25 lb DBs)

serious question, why not just call them cleans. Do you pause and do it from the gang?


Btw. I Hate DB deads. Fat people don’t like stuff low to the floor

it was 21 deadlifts and then 21 hang cleans with the dumbells

kind of like dumbell DT

Workout of the Day

2 Rounds For Time with a partner:

500m Row
25 Burpees
400m Row
20 Burpees
300m Row
15 Burpees
200m Row
10 Burpees
100m Row
5 Burpees

*Partner 1 will stay on the rower for the first round while partner 2 does all of the burpees then once the round is complete, they will switch.


Alternating rowing and burpees, then partners switch exercises and do it again.



That hurt.

A lot.

Workout of the Day

A) Push Press 3 x 5 (30x1)

B) 12 Minute AMRAP

10 Kipping Pull Ups
15 AKBS (53/35)
30 Doubles


I did 115lb push press. Rehabbing some tightness in my left rear shoulder so I kept it a little lighter. Originally wanted to hit 135 but when the tightness started setting in I backed off. Only overhead pressing, strict or push press, sets it off. Snatches, cleans, and jerks do not.

For part B, I did kipping ring rows, a 44lb KB, and SUs. Got 6 rounds + 49. Only 6 reps short from 7 rounds

48:13 - I scaled to a 35# DB. Grip is what kills you. Having to use a DB is much harder than a KB. DBs have a tendency to roll out of you hand.
