Bought a new pair of Reebok Sprint TRs this week.

One excuse down, 99 more left on why my time will suck:

1. I’ll drink too many free beers along the route.
2. Kids are running with us this year.
3. I never train for running greater than 400M.
4-99. Repeat of #3 on the lack of running training I put in.

Also, still battling this pinched nerve. Really only affects bench pressing, so I’m avoiding it. :(

1. I've been eating low carb for Lent, and most of my runs have been shite. So yeah, not looking for a PR this year, not that I'm ever fast.

I'll be running. This is my first 10k ever. I ran 5 miles with relative ease in training. Did my last prep run last night. Did a quick 3.5 miles in 33 mins which is fast for me.

I hope to finish under an hour.
Excuse:
I have food poisoning right now so I am just focusing on staying hydrated as much as possible

A few years ago, I got ahold of some bad raw oysters at the Chimes East on a Wednesday before the race and was pissing out of my arse all the way through the start of the race.

I ran the first half mile and then proceeded to walk the other 5.7 miles or I would have looked like this:

If its an hr I'm happy. I got suckered into this and training with multiple wind sprints each morning, close to puking levels, as I've just not had the time for longer runs. Intense intervals for 20 minutes were really all I had. I've done one long "run" and made it in an hour so who knows....I'll probably just stop at the first bar I see and abandon my friends

Before we started she points to these two fellas, one full up sticks his hand down his pants to adjust his package and then hi fives his bro.
We got a kick outa that.

My husband was ahead of me the whole time this year. My chest was hurting at mile 2 and it hurt until I finished. Under an hour, but my slowest in a few years. Damn low carb diet.

Son ran a 1:05

Stayed with my daughter who walked a good bit, and we were at 1:28.

Drank 3 beers along the route and several at the race fest. The burger truck had very good burgers at a decent price.

Not too shabby. You’ll be sub 40 next year.
