Others will tell you this also. Steer clear of supplements on Amazon.

Is this accurate?
Genuinely asking.

This is the second time I've heard it this week. I think it has to do with undisclosed ingredients or mislabeling. I just bought Momentus Creatine from Amazon a few days ago. Might be the last time I order my supplements from Amazon...which sucks, because it's so convenient.

So the Momentous creatine you order from Amazon is different than the Momentous Creatine you order from Momentous directly?

Honestly, I have no idea. I've just heard to be skeptical of Amazon's supplements. I purchase my creatine, magnesium, boron, D3/K2 all from Amazon.

The prices from the manufacturers seem to all be in line with what I'm paying on Amazon, so I'll just start buying direct.

I can say that after hitting 10g of amazon creatine in the AM + preworkout it works better than just about anything else for a bowel movement. Not sure if that is true across all creatine or just amazons.

This thread made me do some digging and what I have found is that there is an issue with Amazon comingling product in their warehouses. So even if you order from a specific storefront it could be shipping from an amazon warehouse with comingled product in the same bin. No guarantee you won't get an expired or even counterfeit product. Yeah, that was apparently one of the other issues.

It looks like the counterfeit issue isn't just an amazon thing. Walmart apparently also has this problem. And of course places like eBay.

I can't say that I've ever had an issue with any supplements I've gotten from amazon. Not to my knowledge, at least. But after learning this I won't risk it any longer. It looks like a lot of these manufacturers also offer "subscribe and save" services similar to amazon. So the convenience will still be there.

These are just a couple of articles I have read on the topic.
