I came in 3rd! Won the Hercules Hold event with a time of 1 min 7 sec. Hit 245 on the log clean and press. Almost had 265. Hit 505 on the axle bar deadlift. Did a carry medley of 620 pound yoke run with a 225 pound sandbag. And finally a duck walk to power stairs loaded at 350 pounds. Best comp I’ve ever had.

I have no idea what any of this means, but congrats!

I was there as a spectator and part of the PT clinic that helped sponsor the event. The guys at Atlas put on a great comp y’all were fun to watch pick up some heavy arse shite.

It was a great day for fitness. USA Masters weightlifting, USA junior powerlifting, and LA strongest Man/Woman all with an earshot of each other.

Of course there was the typical river center incompetence: no concessions, improperly advised security staff, etc.

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’m a member of the Atlas crew, and we really do try to put on a good show. The owner has been doing everything he can to grow strength sports on Louisiana. There are a lot of strong people in this state who deserve to have a place to show it.

It was a cool thing. There was also a bodybuilding show the day before. Big weekend.

No concessions was a shite show. The promoters are very angry about it. I was pissed off that they wouldn’t allow my wife to bring in the diaper bag for our baby. I even told security they could do a bag check, and they refused. And calling them security is a joke. Half of them could barely walk. The other half were old as hell. They were more like ushers.

I appreciate it, man. There’s been some ups and downs, but it’s been fun.
