You are going to have to look to studies done outside the united states which I am not sure you are willing to accept. Use this as a educational experience. Layne Norton isn't going to help on this.

Italy, Sweden, Norway, and Finland have done several. Look them up. Its like you guys are so addicted to all these fake additives because they provide 'zero calorie' options you are trying to convince yourselves it is 'healthy' and 'ok'. Its bizarre.

I didn’t read all responses but sounded like y’all were bashing Ron for simply pointing out the US allows many harmful ingredients in our food supply that other countries do not allow. I agree with Ron that this is a huge problem in our country that is only getting worse.
My opinion of lsu77 is that I agree with 95% of your comments but the tone and failure to let things go in an argument can be insufferable.

I am glad at least one person understands.

What is the problem though? You aren’t providing any detail other than they are “bad”.
I’ve asked several times for the study that shows they are bad and the magnitude of their effects but I have yet to see any proof.

I don’t even see any studies by Italy in these. I haven’t looked up the others. Italy actually allows additives to food.
He asked for studies. He wasn't asking for a banned list. Those are two totally different things. Italy has done a study on Sucralose and its potential effects.

problem how? are they causing issues in todays world? is it the reason obesity is high? does it cause weight gain, muscle loss, issues with key health markers?

100% i can be an insufferable a-hole, but usually when i am arguing its because people make statements I know are false and ask for back up of the statemetn and they continue to provide zero as in this case. same thing with the whole launch angle thing on the msb the other day
i know i can be an a-hole. and i am working on this.
in this case i wasnt mean to ron though. I admitted yea those things prolly arent optimal but they arent the cause of health issues liek he insisted and i repeatedly told him i was open minded and very open to being proven wrong I just wanted to see the studies and the proof.
many times i have been proven wrong on something here and almost always admit to being wrong, im married, admittign im wrong on something is second nature now. But i do ask for proof.Im pretty open minded on things but not gonna just take words as fact...i need to see and be able to disect the studies.
i actually respect ron and the work he has put in for years and years on the weights. I just wanted to see prove of his statement is all.
ETA: FTR i do agree that some of the artificial sweetners can have an effect on gut bacteria and cause some issues with digestion and stomach pain. but they dont cause weight gain was my point nor overall health problems. I happen to be sensitive to the amount of some sweenters i ingest and have to be careful about how much i consume.
