Today is my first day of trying Carnivore. Didnt have time to meal prep for lunch. What are some good affordable fast food options in the local BR area.

I've read that you can buy beef patties and bacon at Wendy's?

Blackened Tenders are legit.
Tons of sodium but they are delicious.

You can certainly do patties at any fast food place, but my go-to on these occasions:

1) Chipotle or similar: Bowl no rice extra meat. Veggies if you are doing carnivore + veggies

2.) Damn near any grocery store: Buy a rotisserie chicken and eat until you are full.

Has beans. As long as you don’t eat the beans it should be fine.

I typically go with chic fil a grilled nuggets, 2 whoppers and eat just the patty, or 5 guys just the the patty.

If you’re resorting to eating Wendy’s burger patties and bacon you’re dieting wrong. Maybe get a grilled chicken salad somewhere and start your carnivore diet tomorrow

ETA: with a low calorie salad dressing obviously

Wendy’s has 2 for $5 with Dave’s classic 1/4 burger as an option. Get them as wraps. They even hold the catsup without you asking.

Five guys and killer burger also do wraps but right now the Wendy’s deal is way too good to be true

Thanks for the wisdom. Im sort of following behind Dr Berry and Laura Spath on YouTube.

She and others claim that beef patties from McDonald's and Wendy's are fine to eat. If I were to bring stuff from home I think I would only bring Sirloin Steak or grilled chicken or pork.

I'm just in a bad spot and trying Carnivore as a last ditch effort as my weight has gotten really out of hand over the last 2 years. It seems that if I can make it past the first 2 weeks I can last. The claims of how great people feel are inticing

Baconzilla from checkers. patty and bacon only. And they load the bacon on. Beats a baconator any day of the week

The thinking that just because it’s meat then it’s ok to eat is flawed. For instance, 80/20 beef has more or less 60% more calories than 96/4. So for a half lb of beef, 615 calories vs 385. With the lower calorie beef that leaves you room for a small baked potato (gasps). Guess what, you’re fuller and are more satisfied because you’re not depriving yourself of carbs

Never done carnivore diet. Never done any 'diet' and managed to lose over 50 lbs over the last year by actually tracking my food.

What have you actually done to manage your weight? Depriving yourself of food as a 'last ditch effort' makes it seem like your effort has just been lackluster.

Ok, I'll try to make this short. Im 37 years old and too me food is a drug and Im about as bad of a drug addict as you can find. ....being under 6 feet tall and 300 lbs have fantastic blood work( Genetics , Moms Side ). Dr is baffled but I know this is only going to last so long.

I weighed close to 280 in high school and when I was 19 I lost 126 lbs and maintained ot for 3 years. Then I slowly ballooned up to 280 -290 again around age 26. I then lost 100 pounds again over a 3 year period and really maintained it until age 33. I discovered intermittent fasting thanks to the Hodge Twins amd was hitting the gym 6 days a week and looked the best I ever did in my life and I felt great

Well then I met a beautiful young lady whom im now engaged too and I began to care less about staying in shape to attract a mate because I now have someone who accepts me amd my drug addiction unconditionally. So here I am again after 4 years of dating and right back at 300 lbs.

I know that I cant have a regular relationship with food. I cant just have 1 cookie or 1 serving of ice cream. I have zero discipline with food and after doing some internet research the Carniovere diet seems that it would bring me a strict guideline to take the guess work and gray areas out. I will probably fall flat on my face as its very difficult to live in America and not give in to the mountain of delicious sugary and carb filled foods surrounding us.

I left out a lot of details like types of exercise routines I did to lose weight those times but I have worked my arse off to lose weight before, maintain it for a good while but again Iam an addict as slowly I would always come back to my weakness. This battle spans close to 3 decades long for me with some monumental wins and some harsh defeats.

Drink a gallon of water a day for starters.
Flushes you out.
Gets rid of calories.
Helps you feel full.
Etc.

Can you walk 1-2 miles a day?

Doing both of the above will set you on your path before you’ve eaten the first thing.

Yes I can exercise. I can walk and jog. Still can't lift a tremendous amount of weight.
I'm not handicapped at all by my size

I meant with schedules is it feasible for you to walk that much daily. If so, great!

What things have you done that were successful?

I am not an expert, but you're not addressing the root cause of your problem. The food you're eating is definitely not the problem, and honestly your activity level isn't the problem right now either. Have you met with a professional who can help you work through your addiction issues?
