Layne Norton wants payback on Avatar after they booted him. Looks very, very similar to Avatar...

Anyone going to give it a run?

Been out for a while now. I haven't tried it but wouldn't hesitate.

Love Layne, hope he succeeds. Talks out his arse sometimes but that's the fun of it.

Tried it. It's WORLDS smoother, more stable, better laid out, and easier to use. It's got less features, though. Avatars biggest clutch feature is macro rollover between days. Overeat one day? It'll take out what you need from the rest of the week. Undereat? It'll give you more for the week.

Is it free or does it require subscription?

I like it. It's way more fluid than MFP and has a number of different goals which when I plugged in for the first time was almost exact to what my TDEE without even knowing my BF%.

Is it like avatar with a 7 point caliper check in?

Can I run keto macros?

I didn't see the 7 point caliper check in.

You can do balanced, reduced carb, low fat, plant based, or keto.

And much like Avatar you can play around with your calories daily for adjustments if you know you have a big event coming up and will cheat.

so i've been using avatar for a little over 2 years now and downloaded carbon to check it out a few days ago bc i like layne a lot. it's basically the same product with some very subtle differences. my little interaction with it seemed to be very customizable to your goals/needs. im gonna use both for a few weeks and see if there is anything im missing. if all else is the same i will probably just stick with avatar though as ive used it for so long and have all my data in there. i do like how sleek carbon looks though.

ETA: one thing i do like about avatar that may be available with carbon is being able to log in on a pc to track things. theres a very good chance carbon does this but i need to check it out. that could be a deal breaker for me.
