Hey fellas, I am currently in a pretty controlled environment/boot camp. We have been authorized to bring 5 "protein" bars for the week. I was wondering if yall had nay suggestions for a quality bar to bring every week. Thanks for any suggestions.

I’d just like to find a decent protein bar that doesn’t have almond in it.

Oatmega Bars. I used to love Quest but I stopped eating them for awhile, and now they kill my stomach. The Robert Irving Fit Crunch are delicious but I don't like the ingredient list.

Power crunch bars are like Kit Kats. Wide variety of flavors. Very good.

One! Bars are pretty amazing. Low sugar and taste better than quest bars.

Quest Blueberry Muffin bars are my favorite

Still just a candy bar.
With a very small fraction of the net carbs and glycemic load.
Costco's knockoffs are pretty good. I tired of them though.
Think Thin at a buck each (usually "on sale") are good. Add some macadamia nuts or almonds/almond butter

Muscle Tech used to make a very good bar. Maybe it was called Meso Tech? It was great around 10-12 years ago.

Here's the thing about "Net Carbs" Most people think that Net Carbs are Carbs minus Total Fiber. Not so, only insoluble fiber which cannot be absorbed has no affect on blood sugar. So when you look at the nutritional label and it lists grams of total fiber, how much of that is soluble, or insoluble? Just because something is labelled as a protein bar, or low net carbs doesn't necessarily mean that's entirely true. Check the labels carefully and know how they play the word games.

I'd be careful with the Quest/Costco bars. I've seen some credible accounts that the fiber netting is just BS on those. i.e. you are still getting a full glycemic load as if it were nearly 30g of carbs.
All the Epic bars have been ruined except for Chicken Sriracha and Venison.
