Barrett's Esophagus syndrome?

Just had the dreaded age 45 upper and lower oil check
(male, 6'3", 205 lbs, non-smoker, social drinker)....
Doc said upper showed signs of Barrett's Esophagus. I have had increased heartburn issues the last year or so, but thats about it. Anyone else actually deal with this?
Naturally google isn't your friend when it comes to medical advice.

Do you regurgitate food?
For the past year, I've been dealing with some really stupid GI issues, that came out of nowhere. My diet has always been very clean, and exercise five days during the week.
I don't know if it's just on my mind, but seems like I've heard of more people having GI issues than in the past. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Yes I deal with it. I take Nexium. Watch what I eat. Drink lots of water. Quit dipping which was tough but it was it is. Don’t drink hardly at all anymore. Go see my Gastro doc for the Upper GI about every other year.

same.
So between this and my age, my doctor scheduled the upper and lower scope.

Did he biopsy? If so, did it confirm Barrett esophagus? If not, why didn't he if he suspects Barrett? Barrett is associated with much higher risk of developing esophageal adenocarcinoma.

yes...still waiting...which is why I asked here. Caught me way off guard with that one.

I've had a ton of heartburn issues throughout my life.
It's possible that you just have a stricture or your muscles in the esophagus are overreactive due to the acid exposure. Barrett's is always a possibility but it may not be (just to try to ease your mind a bit).
I found out years later that my issues were likely caused by a shitty gallbladder that functioned just well enough to stay "functional". I've had significantly less issues since its removal.

This happened to me a few years ago and reoccurs every now and then. Like you I eat clean and am in good shape so I was puzzled. I basically deduced it was due to diaphragmatic and psoas muscle dysfunction from muscle strain. I was doing a bunch of oblique work at the time.
Doing slow diaphragmatic breathing and certain stretches really helped relieve my issues.
Obviously that’s not the answer for everyone, but sounds similar to what I delay with.
