Not nearly as good for salads as balsamic. Really good for certain types of BBQ/Smoking marinades/sauces. Health issues, well, let me ask, how susceptible are you to the placebo effect?

I use it as a salad dressing with olive oil because I like the taste. Try olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and a bit of pepper and see if you like it.
