I'm starting to look like a bear.

How long does it last and how much?

So we don't have any posters that have experience with this?

Girl I know had her lip and crotch done. I assume your back would be too expensive.

I'm curious as well. I'm getting sick of asking friends to shave my back for me when they're over. Man I need a girlfriend.

My wife did it years ago and it works amazingly. However, it took about 10 sessions for it to work. Basically, the first 3-4 sessions, the hair grew right back, albeit lighter and softer each time. By sessions 5-8, the hair that grew back was splotchy and fine. 9 and 10 cleaned up the rest. It has been about 6 years since and she still doesn't have any hair on her legs or under her armpits.

She did all of hers through Groupon, so it only costed a few hundred dollars.

I know a guy that did it on his neck, so he wouldn't have to shave below his beard. Seems like a huge waste of time and money, since it takes me all of 3 minutes to line up the edge and shave under it once a week. But he said it took several sessions as well, and he wasn't supposed to shave or trim anything between sessions. Something about there needing to be some length, even very short, to the hair follicles for it to work.

I can't imagine how long it would take for a back, but maybe there have been improvements in the tech.

A few hundred for all of that isn't too bad. I would pay a couple Gs to clear my back for a decade.

I did not do this procedure, but my friend is interested in doing this. We found out from several sources on the internet and talked to people who did this procedure. We understood that the procedure is for life; if you initially do 8-10 laser procedures and then, once a year, go for the maintenance of the result. The device plays an essential role because it counts for the length of the laser wave. We hope to find a salon with the LINK to give us the expected results.

I did it many times but since I’m on TRT, it grew right back.

Never personally done it, but know the process.

Laser hair removal works best on dark coarse hair with fair skin. It'll work on others but may take more sessions or have incomplete efficacy.

In most cases you'll need 7-10 sessions. Back is a larger area so would expect a higher per treatment cost, probably 100-150 per treatment. If you are worried about regrowth, there are national chains(like milan) that offer lifetime treatments but essentially you pay double the price, so would probably be looking at 2-3k.

Eta. Typically sessions are about every 5 weeks. As far as the shaving, probably location dependent. Many just tell you exfoliate and then shave a day or two before to allow better laser penetration.
