Doc is recommending I take them. Barely in normal range and it is pretty expensive. They will be coupled with estrogen blockers and from what he’s telling me, there is meds to take after 12 months to maintain my current levels. I’m open to the idea, but I don’t want to be shelling out 2k per year for this stuff. I keep reading if you stop, you go back to the level you were at prior to starting. Any info would be appreciated.

Correct.

If you’re low now, and start taking test, your body’s natural production will slow down even more.

HCG is supposed to help with natural test production, but it’s not something you will want to stay on forever.

Not sure why u need estrogen blockers, if u only are bringing your levels to "normal" there shouldn't be a need for anything else. Estrogen blockers are for when you run high testosterone levels above what a normal 20 yr old male would have. It was explained to me that if u run higher than normal then your body is trying yo balance the high testosterone therefore producing more estrogen when creates other issues. Keeping your level 1100 or below shouldn't be a problem

Do you go back to the T level you were at before taking the shots or a lowered level? I have a friend that is taking the low T shots and going to do the HCG last 2 weeks of 12 week cycle. He is borderline low and doing it more of a lose weight get back in shape jump start. He is trying to get me to try it, i'm just worried about possible repercussions of doing it for 12 weeks.

I've been looking online for cons, but, see mixed answers.

This is what happens

You take test, get into norm range but it shuts down your natural production

You stop, you crash to pretty much zero even with a proper pct of hcg, clomid and nolva.

You eventually recover back to the levels you were before if you are lucky.

Bottom line is your doctor is a dumb frick and has no clue what he is talking about. Going on testosterone replacement therapy is a life time decision. You either are on or you don't do it.

If you aren't done having kids don't do it period.

And to answer your original question emyes I have been on for way longer then a year, more like 3. It doesn't cost 2000. Without any coverage from insurance a bottle of Watson test cyp 10ml@200mg/ml is less than 100 from Walmart or Walgreens. Should not be taking more than 1 ml per week and that is the very high side. More like 0.5-0.75. should be taken a minimum of 1 shot per week, if doctor tells you different, run because he is a dumbass.

So should cost about 400 per year.

LSU777, going on test shots for 12 weeks will completely shut down your body producing T afterwards?

Yes, you can recover from it but you will not go back to producong more Than you do currently and more then likely will produce much less.

Going on for 2 weeks shuts you down much less 12. 12 is nothing more than a steroid cycle.

Trt is a life time decision. It you want to use steroids, do so but don't call it trt.

Everything I wrote was spot on and a fact. But love how I get down votes.

Look guys, if you want to do a 12 week test cycle, go ahead, won't get judgement from me but don't pass it off as trt. Run it at 350mg+ a week for 12-16 weeks and have a proper pct lined up preferably using the guidelines laid out by Dr scally in his power pct. And enjoy the fricking ride. But don't call it trt and don't get mad if you get called out on it. I support your decision to use 100% but be honest about it.

Depends on his estrogen levels. The enzyme aromatase will convert some of the testosterone to estrogen. If aromatization is occurring, raising the amount of T will then raise the amount of estrogen.

I've been on testosterone replacement shots for over 2 years. I have never heard of any estrogen blockers. My situation from what I understand is for the rest of my life. Not temporary.

MY doc suggested I get the testosterone pellets. I’m still weighing whether I want to do TRT at all. Are the pellets effective?

I did the MRI. Everything is fine on me, brain just doesn't tell the gland to produce.

I would prefer shots over pellet just because you have more control over dosing and can adjust the dosage based on how you feel and what blood test show.
