Here's a good series of Q&A videos with a physician who discusses TRT and related topics.

how old are you and what is your diet like? You can likely get your levels back up on your own and avoid the cost and side effects.

I love when 777 gets in these threads and wrecks people.

Especially if TRT is the first and only remedy he discussed. That’s sad.

Update:
Went to the Baton Rouge Men’s Clinic and Rejuveme and both are recommending almost the same thing except the amount each week.
Men’s Clinic
Cypionate 200 ml/mg
.5 cc per week IM
Anastrozole 1 mg twice per week
Blood Work every 6 weeks
1900.00 for 12 month program (includes all visits and blood work) followed by HCG to maintain current T levels
Rejuveme
.10 cc per week IM
Anastrozole 1 mg twice per week
Blood work every 12 weeks
Slightly cheaper at 1800.00 for 12 month program and you don’t have to pay upfront like Men’s Clinic, but each visit is 250.00 which isn’t included. Also will follow 12 month program with HCG regimen to maintain levels.
Any of you baws have info on any of this? I have no idea what this stuff is. Both assured me it’s legit testosterone and not some lab created crap.

Anastrozole helps to block any excess test to be converted into estrogen. So it’s known as an aromatase inhibitor
Everything looks legit, but I could be wrong. I’m not sure about pricing
This is a life long decision so keep that in mind

So you don't need an aromatize inhibitor unless you levels get out of wack.
Dosages look fine from men's clinic. Rejuvue dosage is retarded low and not even worth the time.
Blood work every 6 weeks is a waste. Should be after 8 weeks then after 24 and then every 6 months after that. Waste of time once you get everything dialed in unless you are having problems.
As far as the hcg goes, are they saying you will go on test for a year then take hcg after to maintain? Because it doesn't work like that nor does hcg help maintian test levels. A Selective estrogen receptor modulator would be needed for that and you still are only going to get back to where you are currently.
Go find an endocrinologist. And you either make the decision to be on for life or don't do it at all. Pretty damn simple.

I also read online that if you still want to have kids, gonadotrophin would work. Could someone explain?
Posted on 7/17/18 at 8:02 pm to prplhze2000
Gonatrophin is hcg.
It's not a guarantee that you won't be able to have kids if you go on trt. Also some still wife pregnant while on but it is rare. You might come off and start producing again quickly, you might not.
The point is you shouldn't chance it unless you are done. It's pretty damn simple.
Now you can come off and use a SERM to keep testosterone levels in an acceptable range to keep a sex drive. Or you can try two serms together and try and do a compete post cycle therapy.
Hcg is used to stimulate LH to try and start producing sperm. HMG is used to stimulate also and many times as a kick start as it is essentially LH.
Protocol should look like this if you are trying to have kids
Clomid- 100mg weeks 1-6 50mg eod after
Nolvadex- 40mg weeks 1-6 20mg after
Hcg-3000iu EOD
HMG 75iu EOD opposite hcg weeks 1-6
If you are just gonna a cycle, do Dr scally power pct program.

Btw the above was not pulled out of my arse. It's what Baylor medical in Houston uses on their worst cases. It's what some of the best in the world in their field advocate

Starting trt doesn’t eliminate kids from your life forever. Once you stop treatment or want to try and have kids, you can take injections to make you more fertile.

Stop giving bad info. For many it becomes extremely difficult to produce sperm after being on trt for a long time.

Hence why I mentioned fertility shots. Not bad info. Talk to an actual endocrinologist before you talk from your arse.

Brother have you ever read anything I. Have written in here? Do you really think I have spoken to an endocrinologist? I see one if the best in the world. The fertility treatment doesn't always work.

I’ll just use what Ron Jeremy recommends

I'm early 40s and do not think I have any testosterone issues. I attempted to get my levels checked at my annual physical a few months ago but they advised that it was not needed if I didn't have any concerns. I figured it would be good to know the levels today so that I could compare to future years and the average 1% decrease.
Why don't doctors test for T within standard blood work? My perception is that most traditional doctors will avoid bringing attention to low T levels. If a patient has the usual symptoms of low energy, libido, weight gain, etc.; then suggestions will be more in line with eating better and just that it's part of the natural aging process. If problems persist, then pills are prescribed that may or not be related to the low T issues.
My perception of Low T centers is that they will do almost anything to get you to take shots ($$$) and not educate patients enough on the long term risks.
Are my opinions unfair? Has anyone had traditional doctors quickly identify the low T issues and then prescribe shots/pellets/etc., similar to how a Low T center would handle?

short answer is your perception is the reality in 99% of the cases. Thats why i always suggest seeing a specialist.
If you are in houston, tell your doctor you wanted tested and its not his choice, its yours. If he doesn't want to you can get it tested yourself or ask to be referred to a specialist. I can not recommend dr Mohit Khera at Baylor medical enough. Guy is the best doctor i have ever scene period.
