Such as a garage with outside temperatures?

I think I found my answer:

When muscles get cold, the force they can produce decreases.

Temperature can greatly affect the ability of your muscle to contract. It is more difficult for muscle to contract in cold temperatures than in warmer conditions. Temperature affects the ease with which oxygen is released from hemoglobin. At cold temperatures, oxygen is more tightly bound to the hemoglobin and does not release as easily. This slower rate of release leads to a lower amount of oxygen available to your muscles, making contraction more difficult. You feel this as stiffness in your muscles. The opposite is true in warm temperatures oxygen readily releases from hemoglobin under warm conditions, giving a steady supply of oxygen and allowing your muscles to contract easily.

I've noticed lately that my early morning runs in 37 degree temperatures have been unusually difficult. This would explain why

My strength to get out of bed to go workout sure as shite goes down when it’s cold outside

I'm in OH. Ran yesterday morning in 16 degrees, felt like 8 degrees with windchill. Christmas morning I am putting on a Santa outfit and running past some Ring cameras in the morning - forecast is somewhere between 0-5 degrees.
The cold morning runs suck but they also give me a ton of energy.

I'm in Los Angeles, 37 is as cold as it gets. Any colder and I'd just stick to my treadmill.

This!!! Freaking cold spell this past few days have made mornings hell in my garage. Still got it done, but damn that warm bed feels so good compared to the freezing tile floor in the bathroom getting dressed. So much easier to get going when it’s warm outside.
