You may have a polyp or two and sometimes they burst. If bad enough you can bleed to death internally. Go get the scope done!

Take a fiber tablet a day like

Those 'tablets' you recommended to him have sucralose, aspartame, ace k, red 40, yellow 6 and blue 1 in them. Why on earth would a 'supplement' have any of those in them? They will just cause other issues and inflammation. Its amazing how god damn dumb some of you are on a 'health' board. To fix his issues he needs to fix his diet. That's it. Find/figure out what is causing these issues and stop eating them. If you want him to ingest fiber at least suggest some healthy foods high in fiber not a supplement loaded with shite.

I’m glad I came to this board and found this post today. My 48 year old brother was diagnosed this morning with stage 4 colon cancer.

Get a colonoscopy.

Had first one at 50 and was clear. Told to come back in 10 years. No symptoms, but scheduled next one about 9.5 years later, and they found stage 3 colon cancer. Had surgery to remove colon section with mass and looking at chemo within the month.

Recommended age now to start is 45…

Hate to hear about that.

Colon cancer runs in my family and my dear mother died because of CRC.

I have to keep a close eye on it myself. I get one done every 5 years.
I put off my colonoscopy by a couple of years and finally went in to get screened.
Doc found 8 polyps, several were benign(non-cancerous) and the rest were deemed pre-cancerous.
Doc removed the polyps and I have to go back in 3 years to get screened again.

I saw this on the MD Anderson site and it may be of some help for you.

Eating beans improves gut health, regulates immune and inflammatory processes in colorectal cancer survivors

quote:

Beans, particularly small white navy beans, are full of gut-supporting fibers, amino acids, and other nutrients, which can help the beneficial bacteria in your colon flourish, supporting immune health and regulating inflammation, Daniel-MacDougall explains. Despite being accessible and cost-effective, the legumes are frequently avoided by Americans due to mild or acute gastrointestinal side effects, which can be mitigated by proper preparation and consistent consumption.

Daniel-MacDougall cautions that individuals should not attempt this diet without speaking to a physician, as it could have negative impacts without proper guidance. Further study is needed in order to determine how dietary changes can be used to lower cancer risk or improve treatment outcomes.

Has he eaten red beets lately?

First time I put raw beets in a smoothie then went to the bathroom, I thought my colon had burst. Took me a few seconds to realize what caused it.

If was a tough, firm bowel movement I could be dehydration or lack of fiber. I had the same problem. Metamucil was a game changer for that issue.

Had the same thing happen and figured it was hemorrhoids. Turned out I had a small polyp that was starting to bleed. I went to Dr Kim, a specialist in colonoscopy, and he caught it early before it became something worse. Don’t wait, get checked.

that used to happen to me regulary when younger. Out late drinking was my main hobby and my diet sucked. i loved to go out drinking, then meet my friends next morning for a big, hungover breakfast to drink coffee, eat a big stack of pancakes and reminisce. after every breakfast i had to run to the toilet and often saw what you describe. horrible life choices but i had to live em and get em behind me

diet and lifestyle changes cleaned all of that up for me. i think i may have celiacs or something i cannot handle all of that processed stuff. 90% of my diet is now grass fed beef (organs and everything) and farm eggs. supplement min one gal of water everday with redmonds sea salt and magnesium. many others but wont list. thats what worked for me
