Not strictly plant based protein, but I do like to have at least one meal a day be plant based. Just mixing it up more than anything else. Ka'Chava or True Nutrition make good plant based meal replacements.

If you don’t hit your protein goals, such as 1g per 1lb of body weight, sources of protein matter. If you hit your protein goals it doesn’t matter where the protein comes from.

I would agree with that. I feel more confident with multiple sources. Plant, poultry, dairy, beef, fish. Try to mix them all in and hit the 1g/lb target.

Pretty sure plant based doesn't have as good of an amino acid profile

One of the problems with all plant based is that you can’t get Vitamin K2 readily , unless you eat natto , which is fermented soy and an acquired taste ( putting it mildly ! ) . Vitamin K2 , or menaquinone , redirects dietary calcium into bones and teeth . It is found in the butterfat of grassfed animals . So , it tells calcium to go into bones and teeth where you want it , not into your coronary arteries , where you don’t want it . Again , the only vegetarian source is natto ( fermented soy ).
The French , with rich foods and more cigarette smoking , have less coronary disease ( some say ) , because they have more farm to table agriculture and consume more grassfed animals . The guy who discovered Vitamin K2 was Dr Weston Price , a dentist . Check out the Weston Price foundation . ??
