Just reading that made me a little queasy. Seed oils are such trash food.

We’ve already done it on here. Fiber isn’t needed. Fiber is not an essential nutrient. You will not die if you don’t get any fiber in your diet.

I really dont get the fiber fanatics. You have 5 downvotes...who are you people. Is this 1995?

How did you select seed oils as the specific ingredient that creates all the harm in these foods? You've learned this somewhere. Please point me in that direction with a link.

Probably buys the $100 pills from Paul Saladino. Some seed oils every now and then ain’t gonna kill you

Same question as seed oils. Please point me to this data with a link.

I can provide meta analyses that show increased fiber consumption reduces all cause mortality and cancer risk.

You've drawn this conclusion from somewhere. Please teach me.

Nice deflection

It’s not a deflection at all. It points out the lack of trust in the data. There are major flaws in almost every study, some nefarious, some just limitations.

Here’s what we KNOW is true:

Organizations like the NIH and FIA have 100% been lying to us for years
People are eating more processed foods than ever
People are fatter, sadder, and dumber than ever
Those same people that we know have lied to us tell us with authority that it has nothing to do with the chemicals they’re putting in or on our food

Are the “seed oils are evil and a tablespoon of oil is going to give you cancer zealots” 100% right? Almost certainly not either. But they’re at least a lot more independent and have a lot less reason to lie.

Like I’ve stated a million times in this thread. We have no clue how bad seed oils are for us. Anyone that says differently is full of shite. But the relative consensus, even from the seed oil proponents, is they just aren’t bad. Well if the best we can do is “well they actually just aren’t bad for you,” then we should just not use them as they’re horrible at worst and indifferent at best

I get it. Science evolves.
But you guys aren't saying "we don't know". You are saying with certainty that seed oil consumption is responsible for all of these various things. I'm saying provide evidence.

For example, above I learned that post 1995 we learned that the available evidence regarding fiber consumptions BS. I'd really like to read that

It’s oil, from a seed. Why is that so bad?

I understand why super processed foods that CONTAIN seed oils should be avoided, but seed oils itself seems so damn overblown

It implies that the seed oil itself will be, by definition, highly processed itself.

Rapeseeds (i.e. "canola") don't really have accessible oil. It's a tiny weed that has to be radically processed in order to extract it. Then even further treated just to make it not smell terrible.

Contrast that with fruit oils (coconut, olive, avocado). The process is basically just to mash the oil out of the fruit.

I don't need studies to tell me I don't want to put industrial lubricants in my body (especially not daily in large quantity).

food companies aren't concerned about food being good, its about big profits
and marketing.

Labeling is just to entice you to buy and eat the shite, just read labels,if it contains any added sugars, oils enriched flours, soy, natural flavors i don't buy it, and you shoudn't either,

Buy a regular steak (grain fed) and a grass fed steak, see how you feel after eating and the difference in taste, I only buy Grass fed meat and eat maybe 20 carbs a week,
