Looks like a good day. Bout to go hit it.

Weekend sucked. Was sick all damn weekend; missed probably 4 meals and slept like shite. Fever broke yesterday morning tho and ready to get back on it.

I remember seeing a post from you awhile ago where you went over the best order to run the PPSA programs. Could you post that again? I'm finishing up SB911 soon per your rec and looking for some 3 day a week programs to take me through the winter. I'm thinking Oak Tree, Seesaw, and then Turnt Up

AA said that he recommends not running 5 day programs back to back or atleast not more than 8 weeks.

Personally after look at all of them, i think they should be run like this

5 day program- repeated twice going up in weight
followed by a 3 day program for a month.

or

4 day program for total of 12 weeks followed by 3 day program

or just taking a full deload week

he also recommends for squatober prep

august- the prequel
september- DB strength or lets pregame
october- squatober
November- upper body focus
december- deadcember

this is a little older but gives you a good idea

I will say on DB strength...perfect program for a teenage athlete that is just learning to lift (think 5th-7th grade), but do not go into it thinking it will be easy. It has a shite ton of lower body in the form of split squats and walking lunges and will light your arse up.

Oak tree is a great program to run if you have an eradict schedule.

if i had to lay it out for someone with your expierence and knowing i was going to do squatober and deadcemeber and i wanted a mix of strength and bodybuilding. With squatober and Deadcemeber, you know the back half of the year will be a lower body focus, so the first part of the year needs to be a upper body focus.

Jan- All i want for christmas is a big bench
Feb- How much ya bench plus deload week
March- Dr jacked 1 or jacked up joker
April- Dr Jacked 2 plus deload or pump city
May- Pool Season 1 or filling our the hoodie or mullet
June- Pool Season 2 or 21 to party or hypertrophy
July- Arm Farm plus deload or elbow meet
august- DB strength or prequel
september- lets pregame or DB strength
october- squatober
November- deload then benchamin franklin
december- deadcember- last week is mainly a deload

should give you some ideas. Essentially the following

Jan-Feb- Bench Focus & deadcember recovery
March-July- upper body hypertrophy focus
August- start of squatober prep
Sept- squatober prep
Oct- squatober
Nov- bench focus and squatober recovery
Dec- Deadcember

Thanks. I'll probably follow something along those lines for April-November next year. Dec-Mar is ski/hunting season so im looking for something 3 days a week in the winter that won't destroy my legs. I'll probably do Oak Tree and some of the Bench programs but spread them out to 3 days/week

sounds like a good plan. with ppsa, no matter the program...you will get lots of squating, lots of horizontal pulls and horizontal pushes. Essentially lots of thickness.

the new program grasshopper is good too, its 3 days a week, then 4 days a week.

So is Friday just a squat PR day?

I think I’m gonna shoot for 1000 lb club. I’m pretty jacked up about it, been gunning for this for a few years. Should weigh in at 175.

“Easy” targets I think are:
Squat: 315
Dead: 385
Bench: 325

I’ve hit all those numbers but the squat on single days.

If I’m having a great day I think around 5% higher than those is achievable.

The heavy stuff is done. We’re on the downhill until the PR Party! Let’s go!

And yes, last year all we did was PR the squat on the last day. (I just went and checked my notebook)

Worked up to 1@95% and 1@100% then 2% increase each squat after that. 3:00 mins of rest.

Today was nice, tomorrow is quick and easy and Friday will be fun. Squatober winding down! Been a fun ride.

Eta: Just knocked out “The Day Before” … all that’s left is the PR Party. Nearly done with another Squatober.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow! I lost a few days this week due to work so I’ll be pushing back everything one week. Re-doing “21 to party” tomorrow instead of “PR party”. Hoping to join the 5 plate club next week!

Thanks bro. Went for 500, but gassed out.

Swapped over from low bar squatting a couple years ago. Was able to get a 545 with low bar a few years ago. High bar is just a different animal. A lot more comfortable too lol
