4 pack to 6 pack

I have a 4 pack but that bottom gut section is really stubborn to get rid of. Any tips for this?

If I had the answer, I’d have a 6 pack as well. I’m told abs are made in the kitchen.

Combination of losing more fat, that area is the very last to go, and weighted core work to make the muscles protrude more.

There is also the potential that, genetically, you just don’t have a 6 pack. For some people the “total package” just never shows up, even if you get down to like 6% BF.
But yes, the 6 pack is mostly going to stand out relative to your body fat, not working it out more and building it up, per say.
Targeting body fat is tough. One guy could have 15-18% BF and his 6 pack look ripped because he doesn’t naturally hold fat there. Another guy could be doing the exact same workouts, same diet, same general size, and have barely any lines on a 6 pack at that same 15-18%. Genetic lottery.

if not gonna go steroid route
1) train abs, especailly lower abs, heavy, progressively like you would any other lift. stop just chasing the burn. lift them heavy and often.
2) lose bodyfat. simple as that.

That's what I've been trying to tell my wife. I lost a ton of weight and fat about 18 months ago. I'm on the shorter side, just 5'7", and at one point I was down around 150-155. Even then, I could only count 4. I quit worrying about it. At 40+ years old, if I was at that weight and working out a good bit, it just wasn't going to happen easily. Started lifting more, and now I've settled in between 165-170. I'm stronger than I've been in 15 years, able to workout long bike rides several times a week, and have added core exercises 3 days a week. They're just not going to stick out for me. Toned and flat stomach with some upper definition I can get to. Lower abs I can't without sacrificing more, and I'm just not there. More concerned about increasing my ability than how it all looks.

I used to compete in bodybuilding as a teen and then in my mid 20's. I never did one single ab exercise. Ever. It was all done via diet, clen, hGH, high intensity training. I wasn't doing hours of cardio a week either. Genetics play an important role as well.
