I anticipate I will lose around 33 pounds in 90 days (Jan 14 weigh in)

I keep hearing stories about how losing too much weight too quickly could lead to being detrimental in the long run in regards to gaining it back and plus some. I don't think I'll ever go back to my bad eating habits again, but you never know.

I diet every day (CICO, TDEE), and lift 5-6 days a week. It has been quite an experience and I feel great...like a million bucks actually, but I keep hearing those stories and it makes me wonder if I am losing too much, too fast.

Thoughts on this?

What is your calorie intake vs your tdee? What is your eating window? Will you be able to exercise 5-6 days the rest of your life?

Losing an average of 11 lbs per month is substantial but not unheard of depending on your discipline. The greater question imo is where do you go from here, if you resort to prior habits you’ll gain everything back plus some. I’d say reverse diet for some time to reignite that metabolism

I am pretty much on a 500-700 daily caloric deficit in regards to my tdee. That will increase when I hit my goal weight to my target maintenance tdee for a month or so to see what happens, and then most likely a surplus after that for a bit

Every 3-4 hours outside of sleeping

Well, that's my plan at least

Yeah, once I hit my goal weight, i will increase my calories to my maintenance tdee and try that for a month, maybe two, to see how I react to it. If I am still losing, I will go to a surplus until I find that magic number.

All's I got is time since I go to the gym very early and it doesn't affect family life, so that won't be an issue

If you went from 350 to 320, not a big deal at all

If y oh went from 190 to 160 possible concern.

You really didn't give enough info to get a good answer.

Wouldn't really worry about it.

That's about 2 lbs per week which at your weight isn't an insane number. If you drastically changed your diet and cut out carbs and sugars you probably also lost 10 lbs of water weight.

I'd move forward, you seem to have a good plan going and not crash dieting.

Cool, thanks for the info!

I have not eliminated carbs, I eat rice twice a day with my proteins and veggies. It's really just a calories in, calories out thing for me

When I lost a bunch of weight a while back I dropped 44lbs in 4 months. I got complacent and felt good about what I had done. I didn't finish the job. Finish the job! You got this!

Don't let any excuses creep into your mind. Don't think this is good enough!

Just a side story of motivation. David Goggins who’s got his new book out “Can’t Hurt Me” dropped 106# in 3 months to be ready to go to BUD/s

I dropped 25lbs in February last year by doing Intermittent Fasting, tracking calories in (<2000), excising.

I would do heavy lifting 4 days a week for a short 30-45 minutes then run 2-6 miles 5x a week

I kept it off and felt great

Me too. Lets weigh in March 7. That'll be 2 months exactly for me.

Yak, you're not overly reducing calories, so not completely worried. Do know that at the rate you are losing with the amount of training, you could potentially send your metabolism a message to slow.
Recommendation only*
Keep cals the same and switch to a 4-6 hour eating window total. Stop @ 6 pm and eat again @ 12-2pm. This will allow less insulin spiking and more chance to burn fat reserves.
Good luck on your journey, you are doing great. Losing weight fast is fun, but think about keeping it off and being able to eat normal amounts of food in the future without gaining weight

I definitely am interested in intermittent fasting. I am still researching the subject, but it does seem like something I could try.

I do think right now that I am going to stick with what I am currently doing until I feel a need to change it up...which will most likely happen at some point in the future - and IF was going to be the plan I was going to use

Thanks for the info
