Almost 24 hours in and its not as bad as i thought it would be. Never done this before, what should I be aware of going into the next 2 days?

I'm new at this too. I've done a 21 hour fast three times in the last week. Agreed, not as bad as I thought, but not going for a 3-day fast anytime soon. I've got no experience doing that.

I do them all the time. Try to go beyond 3 days as that’s when a lot of the good stuff starts to happen. Good luck!

Went 8 days once as a religious fast. My mind is my biggest obstacle. Boredom is so hard to overcome

Day 2 sucks as the hunger is intense and your body is transitioning into ketosis.

Day 3 is usually when you get over the hump and start to feel awesome.

Take some salt with your water. Ideally replenish all electrolytes.

Plan your first meal back now and be smart about it. Eat lightly your first day back.

Get plenty of sodium, Potassium, snd magnesium. I got some fasting salts from Amazon that I use for anything over 24 hr. They taste like the devils dick but make you feel better.

Unc, thanks for posting that link. I didn’t know I needed that. Should make things go better. I’m already sick of water.

I’ve lost about 8 lb in this recent 8-10 days. Excited so far. 25-30 lb more to go.

ETA: got boron on order from Amazon too, thanks to you guys.

I’m where you see me half as much now due to a cascade of admin changes, that I’ll explain IRL later.
But all is well. Going hard in the paint for Lent: no alcohol, no carbs, fasting, back in the gym.
Glad to see you making great changes!

44 hours in. Down 10 pounds. Feel alot better already. Hunger hasnt been an issue. Most hungry ive been was the first missed lunch. Im sure it will get worse but so far r so good. Ive had water, black coffee and water infused with electrolytes thats sugar free. 5 calories per package so im 10 calories deep and thats it.

Are y’all working out during these fast? I went down the fasting rabbit hole and some people say that lifting during an extended fast can eat up more muscle than anything else. So now if I do a 36/48 hr fast, I’ll make that day a rest day.
