Freshman year I used to do 1000 pushups 3 times a week. It wouldnt be too hard to do that 10 days straight or at most every other day to clear it in 10-20 days.

Did it in sets of 40-50.

20 sets of 50 or 25 sets of 40. 1000 a day is really not that hard if you do it right.
