I saw a definite inscrease in stamina from the repetition, as well as more definition in my legs. It's a pretty light load for the legs, so I don't think it would add too much strength.

However, I haven't squatted yet. Taking it easy on my back at least for the next month.

Nice job Box, keep it up man. Looks Ike it’s just a habit for you at this point. Curious, are you doing any pulling or upper back to offset all the pushups?

Not as many pullups as I should be, I guess, but my normal gym routine has a good bit of upper back work in it.

Decided to do a version of this challenge after seeing it posted last month. No real rhyme or reason to how I came up with it.
Day 1
100 pushups
Day 2
110
Day 3
120
Adding 10 reps a day.

Today was 290.

After the 1st few days I just broke it up into 10 sets (29 reps today).

I've kept my other workouts, strength and cardio, going throughout.

Is anyone gonna be doing this for August as well? I would like to give it a shot as long as my shoulder will allow it that is.

Decided to switch up the routine once I got to 300 reps.
Started doing every minute on the minute sets. Some days I would break them up in 5-10 minute sets mixed in with a back or leg workout or a cardio day. On rep 320 day I just went straight through with EMOM, total time was 35 minutes.
Yesterday my EMOM turned into 45 second intervals. Wasn't rough at all.

I was able to easily do around 250 yesterday and 300 so far today. So, if anyone else is going to be doing this next month, it looks like my shoulder will be able to handle it. I just can't do any pulling exercises. I will update starting August 1st if others are as well.

Have you thought about doing face pulls or shoulder dislocates with band pull aparts to help your shoulder?

FTR I started greyskull gladiator phase 1 tonight, will be running full 12 weeks. I will be alternating between pushup and chin up ladders 6 days a week plus I have

Dislocates
Pushups
Chins
Walking Lunges
Burpees

6 days a week as a warm up, even on cardio days.

It's not really my shoulder exactly. It's just easier to say than I have a slight strain on the right side of my upper back below my shoulder blade. I can do just about everything except back flies, rows and military press. Also, I work out at home by myself with a utility bench and dumbbells. So, I don't really want to be lifting dumbbells from the floor to do incline, bench, decline and chest flies. So, I figured that the pushup challenge would be a good thing to do for a month.
