I'd say they were all above average, but it's been a long time since I played any of them and I was young when I did play them.

I don't know where you'd put one, but Nicholson isn't exactly ideal for most people- unless you live that way.

It's a pipe dream, but Sherwood is the best location, IMO. It is centrally located.

1. Somebody with money buy Webb Park and pump some cash into it. Would be a legit private club in the middle of town.

Webb is perfect as is. A good, cheap option in town. It would take a lot of money to make it I to a legit private club.

I'm more or less looking for Sherwood to reopen. But I don't think that course is financially stable- as proven by the close.

I just wish one of the private clubs in town would have a promotion for memberships for people younger than 35. Can't justify the cost for any of them right now, in my opinion.

Webb needs a range.

I've said BREC needs to do a property swap with the school board. Take that property and buy the apartment complex and they've got room for a range.

Greystone is pretty cheap for 35U

It's not far out of town at all. Not as prestigious as the BR clubs certainly, but quite a lot cheaper and the course stays in great shape year round.

Yeah you should be spending that cash on home defense systems, body armor, and extra ammo

I thought we were talking about BR and not NOLA.

Close down Clark, City Park and LSU. This will give Baton Rouge the right amount of golf courses and the ones remaining can actually afford a great maintenance budget.

We would finally have lots of decent tracks to choose from.

if you close down LSU or City (or both), you will never be able to set foot onto Webb course again. That place will be overrun with stupidity (kinda like it is now, but worse)!

I go to Beaver a lot on fridays and the place is empty and then I see people bitching about the lack of quality golf in the area.

It's crazy.

Sorry you can't live in the middle of the city and be less than 5 minutes from a tour quality course for less than 30 bucks.

I thought Howell was closed?

I am not worried about losing the best range. I am trying to improve the quality of BR golf. BREC and LSU are holding it back with crappy courses subsidized by taxpayers.

Now if they want to invest in them and make them amazing courses then I am fine with that but they are not doing that. They are putting what would be good courses out of business with crappy low priced golf.

At Webb, I think they'd be able to raise prices to limit that and improve quality a lot.

Also courses would be able to afford a Ranger/Starter to also limit stupidity.

Beaver is great. You'd think it would get more play with how shitty Copper is. Or maybe there just aren't as many golfers around there to support two decent courses.

Beaver is nice but it could be nicer. Just imagine if BREC didn't sink so much money into Clark and City Park plus if they closed some of those rounds moved there.

It is amazing what we have been conditioned to call nice in BR. When you go play in other places you see how far behind we are in golf. We have a lot of courses but none are worth traveling to BR just to play.
