Aerotech Steelfibers for the most similar to steel feel without the stress on joints.

That's what I have on my 3 and 4 hybrid. Love those shafts.

Irons are only about 1.5 years old or I would debate switching to steelfibers for less stress but hate to dish out the money on new clubs already.

eta in dealing with this i discovered that i apparently sleep on my wrist a lot. added a compression brace (ulnar?) at night for a couple weeks while i was dealing with it. i keep the wrist strap in the golf bag now in case it flares up again. it has a couple times but it is mostly gone now.

Yea I actually sleep on my wrist a lot too. Didn't think about that because it definitely hurts in the morning as well.

Was the brace something similar to this?

I bought the brace that the poster mentioned earlier in the thread, hasn't gotten here yet.

Yeah, I went to a hand specialist a couple years ago. Got some shots and had to wear a brace while playing for a couple months. Thankfully I’m good now.

The wrist widget is the best option of the TFCC stuff. I essentially don’t play without it on now. It’s a lifesaver

People sell pulls over on GolfWRX for pretty affordable. Seen a few sets of pulls on FB marketplace too. I've played both the CW and FC lines and like the FC line the best. Play more true to flex, I find.

Probably extensor carpi ulnaris tendinitis. Injection as stated previously should do the trick if that’s what is is. Hand ortho should be able to diagnose without imaging.

Thanks for the tips everyone. Bought two wrist bands to give them a shot for a week or two and see if that helps. Probably sleep in one of them. If not, I'll schedule an ortho appointment and try and get an injection.

Didn’t see anyone ask, so I will

Do you typically hit on driving ranges on turf mats?
I had a high school teammate who got carpel tunnel syndrome from hitting off mats frequently

I rarely hit on a mat. It's funny you say that though bc I did two days in a row two weeks ago and thinking about it my hand was really hurting after those two rounds.

Got the wrist widget in yesterday and been wearing it.

Get a wrist widget

Just bumping to say thanks for this.

It has been a bit of a life saver. Started helping with the pain almost right away and wore it for about a month straight except when I was playing golf and sleeping. It's let me play a round of golf almost pain free.

Left my first one on a driving range so I ordered a cheper wristband on Amazon that was supposed to be similiar but it didn't help nearly enough so I ordered another wrist widget and it started helping right away again.

Just wanted to say thanks for the suggestion If anyone else if having similiar pain I'd definitely give one a try.

Went back to my Orthopeadic doctor today, pain is back in left wrist and right thumb. Dequervains in wrist and Trigger thumb in right hand. Having surgery tomorrow on left wrist, no golf for about 6 weeks, possible surgery on right thumb if cortisone/steroid shot doesn’t work. Haven’t played any rounds in October, and it looks like no golf for the rest of the year is very possible.

You need an Injection! I get one every year. I am not a doctor but you need to see one.

Yea the crazy thing is I was finally starting to feel better and the pain was minor and I could deal with it, then the other night I was changing the oil on my four wheeler and the bolt was on so tight I was putting all my weight into my left hand and a jolt just went through my hand that made me just lay over on the ground holding my hand. It was really a sight to see

So now I have this crazy nerve pain that is going through three of my fingers, palm, and down my wrist and forearm. So I partially fi one thing on the wrist and just added something worse. Right after I shot my best round of the year

Suffered a similar injury playing in college. Turned out to be a broken navicular bone.
