Would you rather win the Masters as an amateur or the PGA Championship twice (as a pro, obviously)
I am sure plenty of people will say two PGA Championships because of money but I am curious on people's opinions

PGA Championships because of money... easily
and by winning the PGA Championship you get to play in the masters...

Masters, no question. Money from sponsors and endorsements would flow so “for the money” wouldn’t be a reason.

I think if you’d win the Masters as an amateur, you’d need to keep your amateur status to remain an every year invite. Once you turn pro, you’d need to qualify as a pro to be invited…

Definitely the Masters! All the tradition and ambience around the tournament is an exclusive club to be apart of...such as the Champions Dinner, which is one of the most iconic traditions in golf.

I think winning the Masters gets you in the other majors as well. Also, like someone else said, winning the Masters gets you an invite to the dinner and tournament for the rest of your life. I would hope that winning the Masters as an amateur and the various book/movie opportunities would make up for the lost income of $5million or so from winning the extra PGA.

You wouldn't get any money from winning the masters as an amateur.

If you win The Masters, you receive a lifetime invitation to participate in the tournament.

You are correct. I forgot about that. That makes this a much closer decision, then.
I know this is not the equivalent, but the question is almost "Would you rather be Justin Thomas or Larry Mize". When put that way, I think Justin Thomas.

You wouldn’t get the prize money but you would get all the extra endorsements. I would imagine that is about $20 million over a lifetime in extra endorsements.

I would go with Masters as an amateur. Bobby Jones would be smiling down from heaven.
And if I'm good enough to win the Masters as an amateur, I'm probably going to have a pretty good pro career afterward where I can make plenty of money.

Being the only amateur in the history of The Masters would be better in my mind.
Bobby Jones made sure that top amateurs were (and still are) part of the field.
I think to slip into a Green Jacket as a top college player would be amazing.

Kinda torn on this one as I grew up in GA and ANGC is the Holy Land as far as I’m concerned. BUT, I was a PGA professional and the prestige of winning that event is a big deal for non-tour professionals.
Gonna choose the latter, but just by a whisker.

I’ll assume in this scenario I suddenly have golf superpowers and right after the tournament I lose my talent like the Monstars in Space Jam.
I think I’ll take the $9M and two PGAs and “settle” for getting to play in the Masters six times.

The Masters without question.
You'd go down in golf lore as one of the best amateur golfers/single best victories in the history of golf and have a lifetime membership to Augusta. Would much rather that than the money from the PGA.
