We got a team that lost 9&7, and a caddie trying to fight opposing players. It looked like a Saturday at Muni. I don't think the US squad has much room to talk about behavior.

They had a right to be, they were whooping USAs arse for the majority of the cup.

I will say the European fans were extremely lame. The USA fans there were almost as loud as the home team. And they thought waving a cap was some big slap in the face. I guess they didn't realize that it just looked like they were giving Cantlay an ovation every time he walked up to the green. The USA fans are going to be loud as hell, hopefully just not chirping at the players non stop.

This is going to sound absolutely ridiculous, but the Euro superfans compared to the American superfans is a mirror image of the team comparisons. Before the Ryder Cup, I was watching a bunch of videos on Youtube that the Ryder Cup produced. One was all about superfans. They showed the Guardians (who are the dudes with the flat caps and Euro colored outfits that you see every year. I had no idea they had a name until I watched) and the American Marshals (guys with the Viking hats. Again, didn't know their name until the video).

They show the guardians planning out their songs. They're in a room and everyone is throwing out ideas, critiquing, etc. Then they show the marshalls and the main dude passes out papers letting them know these are their songs. Then they all sing them with only a couple of them looking like they give a shite. It just reminded me how this event seems like such a bigger deal to the Euros than the Americans win or lose. It's strange because they don't have a common background to rally around. It should be the other way around. The group that shares a flag, anthem, and language should be more unified than guys who all have different flags draped over their shoulders in celebration.
