If you have been next to him irl when he struck a ball you would know.

It doesn't have the same pop as the other top players

He certainly doesn’t have the same pop as DJ, Day, etc., but he’s got enough juice to get the job done. He’s not like Zach Johnson or anything.

This was needed in my opinion.

You can’t have a strong grip with a chicken wing. It causes more problems. This was a move by McCormick to keep his job. It won’t work. He will have a new swing coach by mid year IMO.

All of these changes are mind blowing. I just thought he couldn't make putts anymore.

Either way, he had a meteoric ride to the top, and became famous and rich very young.

I hate that Fatprick Reed is now the much better player.

Come on Spieth, get it together!!

We had a thread on him years ago when he was on fire. Even though he’s my favorite golfer I predicted this very thing would happen to him.

His putter falling would hurt his game a ton. But trying to increase club speed with his driver and becoming more inaccurate has been the nail in the coffin. Add in that he plays with so much emotion and he’s just a guy out there when things aren’t going well.

Is it really a decline though or did he just have one amazing Masters to Masters run from 2015-16?
Uhh, he was WAY more than just that run.

I’ve said for a long time that he needs to ditch that swing coach of his. He’s already way too mental and that coach has never met a swing tool he didn’t love. Jordan seemed to do just fine when he was playing off feel.

Is this the cliche response when someone is in a "slump"

Jordan will be fine.

Isn't it the same swing coach he has always had?

He’s been spraying his driver and it doesn’t help he’s been mediocre at best for any putts within 10 ft.

Think confidence has a lot to do with it as well. Mentally just not there at the moment.

It's just amazing how these slumps seem to happen to guys at the exact same moment in their lives.

The swing was always suspect. His putter saved him and when that goes then so does everything else.

This isn’t true at all. He was one of the best iron players on tour. Used to be a somewhat decent driver of the golf ball as well. He’s actually gotten better at putting. He’s just been worse with his swing.

He went from free swinging, no swing thought, care free to technical. His swing can not be technical or it wont work.

His ranking in SG putting is still near the top on tour. His big difference is driving. He was top 25 in driving when winning, he’s been nearly dead last last couple years.

This.

He needs to figure out the tee box.
