Lol... no lie, Uclub from the Tiger Tees. Guess I need to branch out more
The couple times I've played there is has fricked me up. I'd love to try again since I'm playing much better now than I did years ago when I played it.

Mystic Creek is pretty tough, but infinitely more enjoyable than any course I played on Hilton Head. Everything is target golf there, tons of doglegs. Rarely do you get to swing away.
Lost Keys is just tight. If you hit it straight, it’s pretty easy.

Bethpage Black.
Kiawah Ocean
Both worthy of their reputation. But both enjoyable because of their reputation.
I have played Mystic several times and really enjoyed it.
But my first round at Lost Key was worse than miserable. The starter tells you not to look for a ball not in the fairway and then why. My mind is gone and my eyes are on everything but my ball. Then count half a dozen water moccasins (I think one was bigger than my arm). Not the hardest course, but definitely the most difficult round.

Firestone South two days after the WGC event. It’s a shame the WGC/PGA left it.
Played Dubs Dred the Wednesday after the BMW...oh, the rough that round.

Dubsdread is really dependent on the conditions. I played it last week, and it’s really not that bad in normal summer conditions. Relatively soft, very fair, and the rough not too bad. I actually had one of my better rounds of the year out there. If you drive the ball well, the course isn’t too much to handle normally.
On the other hand, I played it back in May, and May in Chicago can be cool and windy. Course was an absolute beast that day - felt like we were hitting into the wind all day.

Agree with UClub from the tips. Those greens are hard enough with short irons, damn near impossible with long irons.
However, my hardest course was Whistling Straits. Those tiny bunkers are funky man.

Oakland Hills in the 1996 US Open, followed closely by The Hombre during Q School.
Non-tournament play would be Kiawah Island Ocean Course, TPC Sawgrass, and Pinehurst #2.
EDIT: Forgot to add Augusta National.
