Looking to try something different than the usual Santa Maria, Beaver Creek, greystone approach.

Don't mind a couple hours drive, looking to take my boys somewhere different and in great shape

Drive to Mississippi and play The Preserve, Windance, Grand Bear or Shell Landing.

Bayou Desiard may be the most overrated course in the state - the first 3 holes are nice along the water - after that it is railroad tracks and homes starting to fall apart.

Not sure how BDCC can be overrated when many Louisiana golfers have never heard of it. Having said that, it’s one of my favorite parkland courses in the state.

Not right now. They are replacing the irrigation so there are tracks and lots of dirt. Greens are real good though.

Played TPC yesterday. Course is in good shape in prep for the Zurich. They aren’t shaving the greens right now but they still rolled well. Cart Path Only for the first 6 holes

Oakbourne's doing a significant amount of work. Also, I wouldn't say it stays primo throughout the winter. They don't overseed and it gets very thin in the fairways and rough during the winter. Being so low along the river and having so much tree coverage doesn't help this time of year. It can be a mud flat with great greens at times

Spot on

Lies are unbelievably tight or bare in the winter. I get terrified trying to hit any wedge less than full

Played Koasati today. Greens, bunkers and tee boxes in great shape. Fairways still to wet to mow, cart path only.

Does it matter? Everybody in South LA thinks we are all part of Arkansas anyway.
