What balls do you play?

I generally just play the cheap, refurbished balls I get from Wal-Mart. I once bought a 48-pack of used Pro V1s from lostgolfballs.com and those were great.
Anyone play any particular ball and like it a lot? Why?

Bridgestone TourB X.
Some people find it too hard but I compress it fine. Straight with woods and plenty of spin with mid irons on down. It’s the ball I was fitted for. Spins more for me than the XS or either ProV with wedges. Very durable.

Same, used to play the XS. The X goes 5 to 10 yards further off the tee and an iron longer with no spin reduction

What are some of the straightest balls out there?
I used to play Volvik Vivids. Those are nice balls.

I started with the XS as well. I don’t think either is longer with a center strike, but the X is way more consistent for me with woods. Misses aren’t nearly as bad. So my average distance is 5-10 longer. Irons were about the same.

The only pair of consecutive birdies I’ve ever carded was with a yellow Volvik Vivid I found in the woods while looking for my Pro V1.

You realize that anecdote means absolutely zero in regards to this thread much less the value of that ball?

Every part of his game got significantly worse.

I thought it was a fine ball. Straight flight and good distance.
Of course I chunked it in the woods later on in the round.

I played the Srixon Q-Stars for a while. Then switched to the Pro V1X.
Tried the Titleist Tour Soft this past weekend for the first time, and they weren't too bad. My understanding is that they are the replacement for the old NXT balls they used to make.

I like the Q Star. It’s a good value. Playing a Z Star XV at the moment and like it.

Bridgestone TourB XS
Maybe I should try the X based on the other responses in here but I have a hard time wanting to hit anything else

Playing Z Star XV’s now and they are a pleasure to hit. Kicking myself for not getting in on the BOGO deal earlier this year.

Pro v1s. I got fitted a while back for the high number pro v1s only so that is what I play.

Really hard to beat the Kirkland Signature 3-piece Urethanes at $1 per ball. I just loaded up on those earlier this summer.
