Anyone else get freaked out looking at that giant concrete mouth?! What is it to clear from the blues? Should I just hit a 7 iron? I usually just slice right into the culvert.

I use to try and trap draw a 4 iron or maybe feather a 5 wood off the tree line left. Now I just hit driver as high and hard as I can. If it’s soft it’s hard to reach the trees thru the fairway. If it’s down wind you can almost be pin high.

I tend to draw my 2 hybrid, so that hole actually sets up well for me. I seem to always mess up the second shot there more than the tee shot. That's a narrow arse green.

If I am feeling cocky with my driver I’ll try to cut it over the apartments and go for the green.

The miss is usually a slice into the tree.

If I am playing smart, I’ll hit my 5 iron. I play a “draw” so that hole works out for me

That hole used to intimidate me. I hit a easy 5 wood I guess about 190 so not the longest. It was the the middle of fairway and I had a nice little gap wedge to the green and I 3 putted.

The 2 trees left of the tee box is what gives people problems off the tee. They kind of force you to aim at the canal and hit a draw. If those trees weren't there, I'd probably pull driver and try to cut the corner.

Depends how I'm hitting my driver but rarely don't pull it out. Not hard to be 100 in if not right off the green

Back in the day the trees weren’t nearly as prevalent immediately off the tee and on the right across the creek. Left were the apartments which were fairly new. Going left was a disaster as was any slice as it would roll right and if it didn’t go into the creek you’d have a long shot to the green.

The correct play was to hit a draw with your driver and you’d have a pitch into a small green but not as small as it is now. There was a trap on the right of the green but it’s gone now.

The drive was the key to success.

I always hit a 3 iron draw over. I think its about 190 or so to be I decent shape in the fairway.

I play an easy 3 wood and attempt a draw. When it works I'm less than 100 yards out. If it doesn't then I end up close to the big oak tree.

I'm headed out there tomorrow.

I usually go to the very back of the tee box, back right corner for best angle, and hit driver. I've been hitting a bit of a draw lately and it plays well there. I only drive about 250-270ish. I'm not one of the big-swinging baws like the rest of y'all

You really don’t need to hit it that far to be in good position on that hole. Simply hitting a 215 yard tee shot puts you in prime position.

You can easily see the need for accuracy on your diagram. Too far left of right spells trouble.

If you hit that 215 yard tee shot straight. LOL. I still like to hit driver in case I hit a fade so that it crosses the ravine. If I hit a fade with my five wood, I'm in danger of it not having enough distance to cover the ravine.

Yes, any cut or slice means trouble.
Any snap hook is a disaster.
It’s all about the tee shot.

Yeah...but I always frick up the second shot into that narrow-arse green

Especially if the pin is in the back left.
