This surprised me too. Considering LIV is funded by the Saudis I thought Jeddah would be a huge event.

If you travel to those countries, you quickly realize how much of a facade those economies are due to how undiversified their gdp and human capital truly are. It’s oil plus whatever the oil czar’s tentacles decide to touch.

It’s crazy to think what the Middle East could do if they ever decided to invest in themselves instead of the top 0.001%. As such, the 99.999% don’t give a frick about a golf tournament at Jeddah.

Very true. Unles you’ve spent a good bit of time there you can’t truly understand what goes on

I don't even know if AK has played golf in the last 12 years. Dude looks awful. He's going to shoot a million in round 2.

I think DJ conned Liv into paying back his insurance money so he'd have a coke buddy on the tour

This is going to be really bad. He might end up 15 shots clear of the next player.

What age were we when the Kim hype was going on?

I remember it, but don’t remember caring even slightly. I didn’t know what he looked like until this week.

I was around 33 and he was my second favorite player behind Faldo. I loved his swing and the fact that he was sponsored by Nike. I also liked his " I don't give a shite attitude".

Here is where it’s obvious Kim is dead

Through 36 holes he has ONE birdie. If he was shooting 76s and DFL but had 4-5 birdies you could maybe say “hey, maybe there is some potential”

But one birdie through two rounds on a cake setup isn’t good

I can’t believe LIV trotted him out there. His play is pretty bad.

Broadcast picture quality is awful, washed out looking.

76, 76, plus 12

I mean he’ll probably play better than Sihwan Kim did. His best finish last season was 33rd. LINK

They’d still rather have AK out there instead of Laurie Canter.

Maybe misread your post. Yeah the back half of the league is not good.

Seems like they’ve made it more competitive since the bottom 4 got relegated last year. The 4 qualifiers are stronger players, but none have cracked the top 24 yet.

I think Swafford & AK are obviously the bottom two players right now though. Sucks for Laurie Canter

Glad they didn't give AK the Tiger treatment as far as showing every single shot of his even though he's at the bottom of the field.

Watched probably 30 minutes Saturday and I saw maybe two of his shots and an hour or so Sunday and they only showed a handful, and they were all putts. He did seem to play better overall Sunday even though the score didn't impress.

That course was beautiful. But there clearly aren't many golf fans over there, there were like 10 people on every hole.

I didn’t watch all of his shots either, but out of what I did see his short game was the most encouraging. A lot of good putts/chips.

Would be entertaining if he could figure it out & get some scores under par in Miami next month

They were also playing an hour north of Jeddah. I’d expect a much bigger crowd in Hong Kong this weekend.
