I have read both "Tour" and "Professional", so I don't think anyone writing about it really knows.

I assume it was some sort of own occ disability policy. Those are typically job specific not location specific. Meaning if I am a surgeon and go on claim, that doesn't mean I can go do surgery in Mexico.

Just a guess though.

This is what has been written:

Can’t play any pro golf without paying it back
Can’t play PGA
Can’t play in American pro golf
Can play at some point as terms expire

Not clue what the truth is.

The amount of times he's been talked about show how excited people are, and he has one less PGA Tour win than Martin Laird.
You made me go look his career up

Not going to lie, I remembered it differently. Those last 3 years are kinda rough. Only 9 top 10s over 3 years?

He only had one season where he had 5 or more top 10s. That’s wild the legend is so big

LIV does not have any drug rules as far as I know. I suspected a couple guys may have gone knowing this would make things easier on them.

I would think he is clean now. But that picture just confirms the rumors from the last were true.

Phil has confirmed they do drug testing. Now what would be the punishment if one of them got popped? I don’t know

Why does either tour do drug testing? So dumb. Almost all major companies besides plants have thrown that shite out the door
DJ being coked out in his off time or tiger melting into his couch on oxy doesn’t matter

He will be hated simply for playing on LIV

Why? He hasn’t been on the PGA Tour in over a decade and most thought he’d never play again. You think he’ll be hated for not going through Q-school to get his card back?

Anyone who blames Kim is an idiot. Dude just got 7.5 million up front plus another 2.5 million minimum guaranteed

Because they’re professionals & shouldn’t be doing illegal drugs?

most professional companies (law, finance, etc) across almost all industries have given up drug testing. And those jobs have far bigger consequences than golf

Something happened with his neck. I initially thought surgery

I’m not in law or finance, but I find that hard to believe. Every company I’ve ever worked for has a substance abuse policy that includes required or random drug testing.

I know we don't drug test, and I cannot name one of my professional friends who is subject to them either.

There's no big legend with Anthony Kim. As far as tigerdroppings has been keeping records, prior to this post and the one announcing he was returning to golf, there has been a whopping TWO subjects about AK on the golf board. One in 2020 and one in 2018. On a board that only talks about golf.

I play golf numerous times a week and talk about golf on here almost daily, and prior to the "Anthony Kim is returning to professional golf" thread a few weeks ago, I 100% haven't thought about AK in 10 years, much less about the legend of Anthony Kim.

Then why else does there seem to be so much commotion with his signing?

Because he was kind of popular and it's been so long since he's played. There was naturally going to be some buzz behind it when a guy who disappeared popped back up.

I mean I guess it's kind of a cool story and I hope he plays well, but I think it's safe to say that the people that post on the golf board are more than casual golf fans and it's clear that not even people on here have given two shits about him in almost a decade.
