Thinking about joining but not sure yet. Are there any current members or past members that can share things they liked and disliked. The initiation fee is much more reasonable than CCL or BRC. I also noticed there’s no assessments, just the annual donation of $150 to TAF.

Interested in this as well. Biggest complaint I’ve heard is that it always has tournaments booked.

I played out there recently and could barely find a divot. I’d mostly be playing Monday/Wednesday’s if I joined

You may want to double check, but I think they are closed on Mondays, as most private clubs are. I do want to hear what people say about tourney’s. I’d be playing mostly on Fridays and weekends. I’ve been told tourneys are usually during the week so that would work for me.

Not a member but I played on Sunday and on their calendars they are closed every Monday for the next 2 months, I would assume it is a year round thing.

They are closed on Monday, but members can walk on and play if they so choose.

Mondays are when they have a lot of the tournaments.

Hard to get tee times. Too many members for the number of tournaments that are played.

Best course in the city, top 3 in the state. It’s strategic, target golf and there isn’t a straight putt on the course with multilevel greens. The practice area is awesome. And whoever hires the cart girls deserves a raise.

There are tournaments but during the weekdays. And I would not say there are too many. Some collegiate tournaments on the weekend.

Easy to play during the week but tougher on weekends unless you play later in the day. Tee times can start being reserved 7 days in advance, but they fill up quick.

Over 40 new memberships during covid so play has gone up.

Nice reply by management. 40 new members equates to 10 used tee times. That is a huge number considering rounds were up 40%. Listen to the commercial they keep running. That should tell you everything you need to know. They literally brag overplay as if it is a good thing.

Tee times can be booked 7 days in advance but they go quick. Pick up the phone and try to book a tee time tomorrow or Saturday or Sunday. Earliest you will get is late afternoon. That’s okay over summer when it gets dark late but when time changes you can’t finish a round.

I’m not UC management and not Frank Gumpert either, lol. Several guys on this board know me. I am one of the 40 + new members and I live on the golf course, so I have a pretty good feel for the level of play the course gets.

If you think UC gets more play than most courses, maybe there’s a reason...

You're Frank to me dammit.

Proximity to me makes me want to join. They closed on Mondays as others have stated?

The clubhouse is closed, so no carts / no food / no tee times. You can still play, you just have to walk.

ehhh, idk about either of these statements

This is true. A little bit of goofy golf in some places. I feel like you can tell it was re-designed and "tricked up" to make more difficult for the team, rather than designed that way from the start. But, play this course regularly and your game will travel.

True.

Absolutely True.
