One for sure is not that high
CCL is probably closer to $15K buy-in. But their monthly fee's are around $1500. Both about 3x UC costs.

That's your "cheap" private options nearest to the city. The ones that were in the city don't exist anymore.
hence why he's saying one in the city would be cool

No board, developers/owners only. They make all the decisions.

The country clubs that are still standing have also had major membership issues and had to offers deals to continue operations
This is absolutely false.

I was a member for about 5 years. Very hard to get prime tee times. MOST of the membership plays golf all the time, unlike many other clubs where much smaller percentage of membership plays. Also do not care for the changes they made several years back. I like the course, but unless you only play during weekdays, it gets frustrating to get tee times on weekends.

Those aren’t private, semi private clubs don’t give that benefit

Not quite.
$25,500 initiation with monthly dues at $765.
Junior is $10,500 with monthly dues at $415 ages 21-35 and $590 ages 36-40.
Tennis & pool is $10,500 with monthly dues at $360.
A member told me to wait and they will have a special where initiation fee is reduced. They lost a lot of members during the last assessment, but I believe their last “promo deal” got some of that back.

That would be very frustrating
