Tour pros having help to find errant shots

Just a random thought that may have been written about before...
Is there any way to quantify how much benefit a tour pro gets from having the spectators and tournament staff be there to help them watch shots and find their ball? particularly at a course with the rough like Winged Foot had last week, I can’t even imagine how difficult it would be for an amateur playing with nothing more than their foursome to find balls out of the fairway.

It’s a benefit of being on tour. They’ve had to qualify to get a PGA start by going through the gauntlet of either q school, Monday Qs, or grinding on the KFT. Those events don’t exactly have massive galleries for every group so they haven’t always had that luxury. But if we want to test the best in the world, the rough being grown that high helps to do so.

Let’s be honest, how many people have played rough that high where it makes a big difference? I know I’ve played some nice arse courses but never shin high rough. I could see the benefit of hitting into the shite (looking at you Na at TPC San Antonio) but as far as the rough goes you almost have to have spotters if you’re going to put them into 5 inches of grass if they miss the fairway by 3 feet.

I played Cypress Bend Resort course at Toledo Bend about 15-16 years ago and the rough was 4"-5" high and I think I lost 3-4 balls that were in the rough less than 10'-15' from the fairway. I normally would have found those balls on the average Muni course. I was a little preturbed. 
ETA: I have played Cypress several times since that trip and the rough is not nearly as penal as it used to be.

The super grew our rough one year to ankle deep.
I walked the edges and found dozens of brand new ProV1s that were down at bottom.
I carry a bushnell phantom, I had to know my carry to find the balls just off fairway. Wedge out.
I know golf is a challenge, but it was silly and made rounds take 5 hours. Also people were injuring their backs, wrists, shoulders, etc.
I’m not a tour player. I’m just waking around with friends. I prefer it mowed from tree line to tree line. A half inch first cut is fine.

Last time I played the goat ranch known as the LSU golf course, I sure could have used some spotters. Ankle deep Bermuda rough and it was next to impossible to find anything that didn't hit the fairway.

Back in the day before the remodel UClub grew its rough super deep when college tournaments were coming. Something about it being the courses only protection and that otherwise it was too easy. Definitely 4-5” a few feet off the fairway.
If you pay close attention where the ball goes and have a close landmark to allow a small area to search, they were findable. If it was over a hill or otherwise out of sight you were out of luck.

Since the course closed for COVID it seems like they aren’t maintaining it quite as well. Went and lost so many balls just outside of the fairway. A few times I struggled finding balls in the fair way

Memorial park in Houston could really use it. It is a pain in arse to find your ball if it is just off the fairway. You really have to track the ball if you aren't hitting fairways
It's not even that thick of rough but the rough just eats the ball

I play east lake every year typically one week after the tour championship and even with caddies, I typically lose 3-4 balls to the rough each round. It's absolutely brutal to play through
